Except she incorrectly quoted the scripture. The bible never said that we are all like filthy rags. What the scripture spoke on is the hypocritical righteousness of my (which is known as self-righteousness), it is the pride in self-righteousness that is like filthy rags. It so important to reference/quote the scriptures correctly and in it's true accurate context.

@@AmbassadorOfChristSpeakTRUTH , Oh, that you would burst from the heavens and come down! How the mountains would quake in your presence! As fire causes wood to burn and water to boil, your coming would make the nations tremble. Then your enemies would learn the reason for your fame! When you came down long ago, you did awesome deeds beyond our highest expectations. And oh, how the mountains quaked! For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him! You welcome those who gladly do good, who follow godly ways. But you have been very angry with us, for we are not godly. WE ARE CONSTANT SINNERS; HOW CAN PEOPLE LIKE US BE SAVED? WE ARE ALL INFECTED IMPURE WITH SIN. WHEN WE DISPLAY OUR RIGHTEOUS DEEDS, THEY ARE NOTHING BUT FILTHY RAGS. LIKE AUTUMN LEAVES, WE WITHER AND FALL, AND OUR SINS SWEEP US AWAY LIKE THE WIND. Yet no one calls on your name or pleads with you for mercy. Therefore, you have turned away from us and turned us over to our sins. And yet, O Lord , you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by your hand. Don’t be so angry with us, Lord. Please don’t remember our sins forever. Look at us, we pray, and see that we are all your people. Your holy cities are destroyed. Zion is a wilderness; yes, Jerusalem is a desolate ruin. The holy and beautiful Temple where our ancestors praised you has been burned down, and all the things of beauty are destroyed. After all this, Lord , must you still refuse to help us? Will you continue to be silent and punish us? Isaiah 64:1-12 NLT bible.com/bible/116/isa.64.1-12.NLT

The Lord scripture/the Holy Bible have never said "we are all filthy rags" what Isaiah 64:6 have declared is "that all of the mankind own righteousness (this is where the sinful soul tries to be prideful in doing good in their own strength and own wisdom and not for the glory of God) is as filthy rags". The scripture was warning and exposing the danger, ugliness and deception of self-righteousness. GOD WAS NOT REFERRING TO MAN AS BEING FILTHY RAGS.

Don't isolate yourself. There are people who have been through what you might be facing right now and they overcame it. Don't push people away, surround yourself with people who are spiritually mature and get the help that you need. Isolation when you are in pain and don't know if there's a way out is dangerous and that's why we have suicide cases. Listen, there's nothing that you can be facing that God is not able to solve for with God nothing is impossible. Hold on. Jesus loves you.

@themadlass55845 жыл бұрын
This World IsCrazy This World IsCrazy Dude, just because there’s different church lingo doesn’t mean people think differently or act differently. You’re right that you receive the Holy Ghost when you accept Jesus, but now you’re just being judgmental in saying that people “don’t live holy lives” because there’s different lingo. I would talk to people of different diversities to understand more. There’s different church slang in different denominations and different diversities.
@cauliflowerpower415 жыл бұрын
@@themadlass5584 receiving the holy ghost is not accepting jesus it's, speaking in tongues. In love, the bible says in Acts 19:2 ,Have ye received the Holy Ghost "since ye believed?" This means after you accept Jesus you must be filled with the holy ghost. John 3:5 you can't enter the kingdom of God with out being born of the spirit, (which is the utterance of speaking in tongues). Sadly, we think lingo and morals is all we need to be saved but there was more after the belief
@themadlass55845 жыл бұрын
This World IsCrazy This World IsCrazy Okay. Now you’re twisting my words. I said that you receive the Holy Ghost WHEN you accept Jesus (same thing as being filled with the Holy Ghost). And speaking in tongues is not the only way that shows that you believe in Jesus. Speaking in tongues is a fruit of the spirit. A gift from God. One of many in fact. You don’t have to speak in tongues to prove that you have received the Holy Ghost. And you’re literally taking things WAY out of proportion saying that people think church lingo is a sign that people think they’re saved. I would guess that you must believe that since you’re judging people though church lingo. It does not say at all in the Bible that you have to speak in tongues. And if you are referencing the Pentecost in Acts, that shows one particular event when the disciples were filled with the Holy Ghost. And nothing but the fruits of your faith comes after belief because faith is all you have to have to be saved. Jesus says it MULTIPLE times in the Gospels when people ask him what you have to do to be saved. He always says (I’m paraphrasing) that you have to believe in the Son, accept him as your Lord and savior. The only way to God is through him. And he says throughout the Gospels, “You have been saved because of your faith.” Following Jesus is all about faith, and everything else that follows is a product of that faith. If you think that you have to do work to be saved, then you are creeping on legalism, and I would seriously pray about that.

I’m tall and I enjoy sitting in the back when I go to church. Growing up the mothers of the church, deacons, and First Lady sat in the front. I feel uncomfortable sitting near the front.
