Hello Mr. DiGG. We have a Komatsu 300 as a replacement vehicle since last week. The operators also complained that it was slower than our own vehicle. At first we thought it was throttled. But it turned out that dirt had accumulated under the floor mat behind the accelerator pedal. After that it drove just as fast as our vehicle. 👋

Sun exposure can make pvc pipe brittle if it's not UV rated... You can paint it but If that's the case, that damage apparently is done and only a matter of time, you'll want to replace any sections exposed to the sun.

❤❤❤ the video. That type of pipe is for under ground only. The UV rays wreak havoc on that type of plastic after several years. Also cavitation on the inside caused by flowering water can cause the pipe to thin/pit in areas causing the pipe to fail. The snowball effect you and Aaron were describing sounds like a cavitation problem 😮. The breaking or splitting of the pipe is most likely a result of UV rays or water-hammer. Water-hammer is the effect of someone slamming a water valve closed and/or open. The pressure spikes inside the pump and pipe to extremes. A way to avoid water-hammer is to create a shock chamber. One way to create a shock absorber in the circuit is to add a capped horizontal section of pipe about 3’-4’above the water pipe. Place the shock absorber next to where you are having problems. The chamber you have created when the pipe is filled with water will create an air bubble that will act as a shock absorber.

Man that Volvo 290 at the end it looks like he could stand a little bigger bucket. Btw after being born and raised here in Texas and 60 years old farming and tanching and living 5 miles outside of a town of the population of 196, wherever that testing center is here in Texas if it's Austin, Dallas or Houston don't confuse those concrete jungles being Texas, its just a bunch of city Slickers, you gotta get out away from there to see the real Texas. Just remember almost everybody's packing and we drive 85 to 100 miles an hour everywhere we go.

A water hammer could be the cause of your pipe breaking, possibly, the electricity turned off during the storm and allowed air into the pipe, then when it came back on the water compressed the air and exploded the pipe from high pressure, to keep that from happening there needs to be air escape vents installed in the pipe, I don't know if you have them installed already, but for any length of pipe line there needs to be many installed. Back in the 70's I worked for a Water District in Southern California that extended all the way across the south end of the San Joaquin Valley, 40-45 miles, we had many vents in the lines and if the pumps went down, there were times a water hammer would blow out 12", 16" and 18" ACP when started back up (because some kind person that it was fun to close the gate valve that was used to stop the water so to clean the debris from vent). I enjoy your content Ryan, watching from Tahiti.

Man, you have to put the excavator on a bench and load the truck below. It will save so much time, fuel, labor, etc. Love the videos. Keep em coming 😊
@CGT8017 күн бұрын
I was thinking the same. It would be ideal to start at the high point at the back and have the trucks drive down the ramp and out the other side, but it may be more travel and it prolongs clearing the bottom. Maybe they could clean out the lower section of the cell and just leave a decent path to work top to bottom.......giving more space in the cell for trash. They wanted to fill bottom up anyway as compaction is better and they won't have the trash ledges to deal with. They need a big excavator and two or three trucks. A 78" bucket on a 120k pound machine can sling dirt fast. It only takes about 3 scoops to fill a super 10 dump truck. We moved out 4500 super 10 loads that way. I'm also surprised they don't run a 40 or 45 ton truck, especially when they are renting and in a time crunch.

25:00 Now I want coffee cake.......that sand looks like layers of cinnamon, brown sugar, and white sugar. It would be ideal to start at the high point at the back and have the trucks drive down the ramp and out the other side, but it may be more travel and it prolongs clearing the bottom. It would allow the excavator to sit on a shelf. Maybe you could clean out the lower section of the cell and just leave a decent path to work top to bottom.......giving more space in the cell for trash. You wanted to fill bottom up anyway as compaction is better and that should help prevent the trash ledges to deal with. You need a big excavator and two or three trucks. A 78" bucket on a 120k pound machine can sling dirt fast. It only takes about 3 scoops to fill a super 10 dump truck. We moved out 4500 super 10 loads that way. I'm also surprised you don't run a 40 or 45 ton truck, especially when you are renting and in a time crunch. The big machines aren't cheap, but neither is labor and fuel to run small machines for the sand and dealing with the trash in a way that also seems to waste more resources. White PVC isn't UV stable. I'm not sure what the cost of HDPE is compared to the pvc, but I have fused it for a number of jobs and it is tough stuff. Even new pvc is brittle.
