This is SO NEAT how you can transcribe the archives with this technology! I didn't know about this before and will look into it x

I totally get the urge to go look up the figs/maps/references/thing the text reminded me of while I'm reading. Deffo keep a notepad next to me to jot those thoughts down - or scribble in the margins on my ipad.

My advisor also gives that advice - get writing! I have that same 'but I don't know what I'm writing' response! lol!

Dear Kaelyn, first of all: THANK YOU. Your videos never fail to motivate me and I always enjoy your smart thoughts and great edits. One small but: Sometimes the sound is off. The volume is inconsistent, some parts are louder and some are quite quiet. Also your voiceovers sometimes play louder on one speaker.

With everyone trying to shoehorn AI into every human activity possible, it's nice to be introduced to a beneficial application. Love it! 🙂

Kaelyn, I am LOVING these videos as a current MLIS (Library and Information Science) student considering a PhD (and maybe an MFA?). This is the most shallow question, but what brand is that lovely green cardigan you were wearing at the beginning of the video!? I am searching for clothes in that exact color!!

Hi. Lei ho. I didn't know you spoke a few words in Cantonese about Chinese dim sum (food). That's cool.

我会说一点中文 (my grandmother is a Chinese immigrant and I have been trying to learn the language on and off since I was a kid) ♥️

@@KaelynGraceApple That's great. My biological parents are Asian/Chinese and after my father passed away, my mother remarried a Caucasian who became my stepfather. Could you be kind enough to translate the Chinese sentence in your reply? I speak conversational Cantonese better than I read or write. Daw Jeh/Thanks 🙏

I get distracted by new spellings I find of whatever it is I’m searching for, like I found the missing puzzle piece. We live in such a unique time to have all of these sources available from all over the world and all of our history books anglicize so much. I remember when I found out ab Christopher Columbus’s name & ships && it made me feel like a tin foil hat wearing crazy person anytime I talked to a person less interested 😅 but back to spelling was no such thing until the last couple of centuries- in searching it opened up the 1500s & 1600s knowing that s looked like f and the software makes it f or a smudge can make a c an o I love the hunt tho 🥲
