Click here to watch our review on a camouflaged Elantra N: • The 2022 Hyundai Elant...
For the last 35 years, the Hyundai Sonata has always been a fine choice for consumers looking for safe, comfortable, and value packed family sedan. However, the Sonata has never offered a sporty variant until now. For 2021, the all-new #SonataNLine is a turbocharged, sport-tuned family sedan with 290 HP and an 8-speed DCT. The #HyundaiSonataNLine restarts a segment that we haven't seen since the days of the Nissan Altima SE-R and Mazdaspeed6. Hyundai says this high-performance Sonata #NLine should get to 60 mph in under 6 sedans and with a quick-shifting dual clutch transmission, it should help it out accelerate the Toyota Camry TRD and Honda Accord 2.0T Sport.

Thanks to Keeps for sponsoring this video! 50% Off Your First Order: keeps.com/redline Hey guys! We wanted to clarify that the launch control on this car doesn’t actually take that many tries to engage. We were literally trying it for the first time in the video and were also trying to change the RPM’s where it launches and that’s where it can be a pain if you flip the wrong toggle to do it. Once you have the right RPMs set, it’s a matter of putting it in Sport +, turning off all the nannies, floor the brake and throttle until it says launch mode ready, then letting go of the brake with the throttle to the floor.

@@FurkanCemTurfanda this engine is amazing. With the 8 speed wet dual clutch a tune and trans tune will turn this thing into a monster. 290 hp on 87 octane you can expect 405 hp on 93 octane tune and 430 ft lbs plus. Get some lowering springs and some nice wide tires on the front and back and you're in the 4 second club easily. Hyundai said this car is 6.5 seconds 0-100 kph. Thats way too conservative. Id say its around 5.3 seconds 0-96 kph (0-60) or 5.5 0-100 kph (0-62) stock. With the mods i said and no bolt ons youre in the low 4s.

It’s unfortunate that some of the best features from the limited can’t be found on the n-line. It would have been nice even if it were options that could configure.

At $40k+ (Acura TLX SH-AWD territory), they might not sell enough units to recoup the investment in designing and engineering this version...
@edwink1467
@edwink1467 3 жыл бұрын
@@OlJackBurton It wouldn’t cost $40K+. The Limited and N-line are both just under $34K. Given Hyundai’s pricing, a hypothetical N-line with all the Limited features should only be $2-3K more, making it $36-37K. That’s in line with the mainstream mid-size sedan segment. A Camry V6 XSE with premium audio system, 360 camera, parking sensors, heated steering wheel, etc cost $39K+ because these are all options even in the top trim. Keep in mind the Sonata Limited offers even MORE features like the Blind View cameras, digital key, fully digital gauge cluster, “Smart Park,” etc standard. So from a value perspective, a Sonata N-line with all the features found on the Limited would still be cheaper than, if not similar to, the Camry. A $40K Acura TLX SH-AWD is barebone with none of the features found in similarly priced mainstream sedans. To get things like Blind Spot monitoring, 360 camera, parking sensors, etc, you need the Advanced trim, making it almost $50K. The Acura is of course nicer in almost every way, but it costs $10-15K more to get similar features. And the last thing about “designing and engineering this version,” there’s no additional “designing and engineering” required. We are literally talking about a Sonata Limited (that already exists) with the 2.5T engine. Hyundai just removed some cool features from the N-line to keep the price down.

I had an 2004 Sonata GLS V6 that I bought new. Had it for over 10 years with 170K miles on the clock before I got rid of it. The V6 wasn't the most powerful but it was very smooth, the suspension extremely good for it's category and the upgraded sound system was very rich. I've since had a other cars and made it a point to purchase American built and branded cars. My current a car is a 2018 Ford Fusion Ecoboost. Ford and GM are outsourcing their sedans to mexico or discontinuing their sedans all together. I won't be back. Looks like I'll be coming back to Hyundai or head on over to Kia and check out their new Optima/K5. At least those cars are built in the US.
