36 years later and Michael Keaton hasn’t lost all that charm that makes him Beetlejuice and in one sentence makes me nostalgic and extremely happy to see him. Also, Beetlejuice working as a manager of an Afterlife Call Center is oozes hilarity, and I love all the practical effects.

@@darkman7009 Tim Burton said he's gonna be using stop-motion & practical effects in this film. if the CGI is used for clean up, I'm fine with that(similar to the methods used for Jurassic Park 1 & Death Becomes Her)

The technology is there to de-age them. They had to be in that house for 125 years. They were also Lydia’s spiritual parents. It won’t be easy explaining where they are. And they certainly aged when the exorcism spell in the original movie was happening. I like how the cartoon and musical glossed over this too. :( I guess Lydia chose her horrible stepmom over them? Hard to believe.

Geena Davis has stated that her and Alec Baldwin are not reprising their roles as the ghosts because she joked that life take its course and ghosts don't age😂 haha. I am so excited for this film been waiting for years and glad that Tim Burton was inspired to make this film on the set of Wednesday and had Jenna Ortega to join the cast..... If Tim Burton make a third film is it going to be title Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice!!! FUN FACT: The music that was in the trailer was Beetlejuice theme song from the classic iconic 1989 animated series and I think first film as well.

Here is a theory about Barbara and Adam. In the first movie when they see the "lost souls" room, the janitor explains that is "death for the dead" for "excorcised ghosts". The trailer indicates that at some point The Deetz's moved out of that house. What if whoever moved into it realized it was haunted and had it exorcised and that is why Barb and Adam are not there

My theory on Alec and Geena is similar to the Corpse Bride ascending. Once you are ready, you accend to a higher plane of existence. Seeing how the Maitlands saved Lydia from Beetlejuice and were helping her by the films end. They earned early pass to moving on.
