@@archmaester6594 I really love this prophesy because it could, entirely accurately, be at least six known characters: Lila (Dorotea), Desmond Hart, Paul, Alia, Leto II, Ghanima). "A revenant, full of scars" -- all Reverend Mothers (including Paul, and Alia) qualify because they are filled with the memories of the dead. But the revenant aspect makes me think that the answer is Dorotea--an actual "revenant"; the first true abomination.

It might just be the fact I love books shows or movies about the far future of humanity and the incredible advanced technology we will have someday. I do believe that man and women were created by God but I also believe in the evolution of humanity on a biological front also. I believe that because man/Woman created in gods image that means after many more hundreds even thousands of years I believe that our bodies when properly taken care of our bodies will evolve giving access kinda like ones in this universe. Abilities like control over our own bodies like manipulating our organs like our hearts and lungs and smaller things like in this show has been doing. Maybe evolve to the point giving us the ability to effect our surroundings maybe even move things with our minds.

Talk about the whole Romeo and Juliet type rivalry between the Atreides and the Harkonnen's. Valya is the fire and Tula is very methodical, precise but can still carry out her revenge but at the same time a piece of a soul gets taken away realizing revenge doesn't make the pain go away with killing the Atreides clan.

This whole series just reinforces my belief that royal and noble families should never be put in power. All they care about are getting their families on top and dominating or destroying their rivals. And in the end, it’s us, those with not a drop of “royalty” in our blood or our names, who end up getting crushed under that ever spinning wheel of rising and falling noble families.
@ForeverBrooklynNYCАй бұрын
this holds for any individual or family with wealth or influence, especially in the US
@RadonatorrАй бұрын
How is that any different than professional politicial families in the US (Bidens, Bushes, Trumps, Obamas), Russian oligarchic clans or even individual nation-states, who for thousands of years struggled to survive, dominate and destroy rivals? It's not about noble families, it's human nature. If anything having outright royal and noble families is more honest than "democratic" professional politicial families, who are exactly the same but pretend they are not
@Alejojojo6Ай бұрын
It works for any hierarchical system, capitalism included. Replace the noble houses with rich families or elites in charge of organizations and big companies and there you have it. We are doomed to it since the Neolithic because we are many and resources are finite and no one does something for free. There would always be people with more than others and thus, will always be struggles for power. It has been so since we abandonned the Paleolithic.

For me this episode was far stronger, I think it was on the back of the two younger actresses playing the sisters. Really seemed a step up in both acting and commitment to the role. Unfortunatley with the set up you have most of the experienced actors having to convey stoicismso which makes harder to carry the younger cast who (for me at least) seem a little out of their depth, some scenes feeling more like your average YA show rather than the prestige television I was hoping for. Hopefully I'm wrong and the others start to shine, seeing the level this show could be has me more positive about future episodes
