I love question 21 in his book. Question 21: How should we respond when healing has been sought by faith but not received? Answer: Trust God's timing, cling to his promises, and persist in prayer

I haven't read the book, but that was my question. In this video, Jerod said that a mustard seed is the only amount of faith that is needed. I've had a mustard seed of faith many times when I've prayed for healing, and I've never been healed.

Just like the body is greater than the belly, LIFE is greater than the body. Where our treasure is, there our heart is.. Do we value and seek health in this life because it's value is greater in our eyes than the eternal life? (=life after this life in the time domain.)

I wish he’d answered the question about how the “gift of healing”/“do you have the gift of healing?” works in connection with the generalized heart of God to heal…I’m trying to muddle that out within the prayer and scriptures, would love to hear his thoughts.

Great question! I address this briefly in my book. I do not have the resident gift of healing in terms of me being able to heal at will (I don’t think anyone does). While Ive seen many ppl healed supernaturally by the Lord, I have many other examples of ppl that I’ve prayed for who haven’t been healed. In general, Gifts of healings can be given to any believer in the moment. But it seems that these gifts are given to some more regularly than others. You mights say they have a grace upon their healing prayers that others don’t. I’d recommend reading Understand Spiritual Gifts: A Comprehensive Guide, by Sam Storms, for a more in depth answer.

Great interview on healing. I have been involved in healing for decades. Almost all Pentecostals and Charismatics allow the Enemy access to the Body and to our bodies in the area of healing. We give ground! If we don't believe it is always God's to heal, we will see only occasionally healing and miracles of a lower grade. This issue must be decided through thorough study of this subject. With salvation, unless we are cessationist, we will continue to persevere until they are saved. But with healing, we rarely pray through with faith and see the victory. You have to know that you know that you know it is God's will to heal. There can be no biblical faith unless when know God's will, and this we can know through His Word. Miller would have enjoyed this topic.

There is no greater miracle than salvation, and we cannot be saved without faith in God. So if we have faith to be saved, then we have faith to be healed.
@Randy777day
@Randy777day 9 ай бұрын
While salvation is the God's greatest miraculous work and we should thank God that our names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life rather than testify of miracles that we have witnessed, salvation, as it is depicted in the bible is not a miracle. At least not an objective miracle that we can study. I have seen many saved and many healed. But most who are saved have never received a divine, biblical, objective healing or miracle mostly because of bad teaching by the church. Most people that point out that salvation is the greatest miracle have not themselves experienced a biblical class miracle themselves. @@thelmapratt7356

How are we saved from death? … by faith in Jesus Christ who is God. That He died and rose in our place as a perfect substitute for our sin that we could now be saved. How have people been healed as seen in the Bible? … through their faith in Jesus? Yes. But also in spite of faith. EX: 10 lepers were healed but only one returned to Jesus. And how about when Jesus just touched someone without them asking? EX: The man at the Pool of Bethesda. The servant of the Centurian. Did God perform miracles of His own? Yes. EX: parting the Red Sea. Creation. Feeding the 5,000. I just tend to believe (and know that we will all know the Truth when we are in Heaven. You and I can only imagine) that God heals as is in His Plan. He does want us to have faith. But He does as He pleases. If we have any part in doing a certain something to attain healing then we are saying we have to do, in order for God to work. That isn’t true as God does what He pleases. In salvation we can’t take credit by doing works and in a healing, we can’t do something to provide and make way for a healing. We can only trust IN God. I also think, what if someone gets healed of something, then something else happens to them. Are they believing that they will be healed for sure by the same formula? How disheartening to put that burden upon ourselves. If our only real healing is when those who are saved, die and are brought to Glory.

@@RevDavidReyes I was taught that Jesus purposely delayed His journey so Lazarus would die so He could raise him up. Recently I was given revelation. Lazarus was already 2 days dead by the time the message reached Him that he was sick. His waiting 2 more days makes him 4 days dead. Jesus didn’t delay so he could die. Then Jesus says to His disciples that He is glad that He wasn’t there TO THE INTENT that they would believe. He spent 2 more days building up their faith. Now when they arrived at the tomb and He wept, it was because of the unbelief of the sisters and the mourners. When He said to roll away the stone, NO ONE there would do it except His disciples and NO ONE would loose the burial cloths except His disciples BECAUSE of their faith that He built up in them AS WAS HIS INTENT. I pray the Holy Spirit will bear witness with your spirit. Death is an enemy of God. Please take into account that no one was saved or baptized in the Holy Spirit at this time. Up until Jesus’ death and resurrection Satan held the keys to death. Thank you for your question Reverend.

I recently received revelation that Lazarus was already dead before messengers got to Him. He told His disciples that He was glad He wasn’t there then TO THE INTENT that they would believe. For two days He built up their faith. Jesus wept at the tomb because of the onlookers unbelief. When He said roll away the stone, His disciples did it unquestioningly and by faith and then again they removed the burial cloths in faith at His command. Death is an enemy of God. At this time no one was saved nor filled with the Holy Spirit. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil for he had the keys to death until Jesus took them from him. I think I just get tired of trying to figure out why I’m sick.. like is it me.. is it discipline… is it genetic and I need a miracle… is it demons… I’ve been through all kinds of deliverance, prayer, counseling. I’ve tried nutritional routes… and I keep getting worse unfortunately. I see this with others. It’s frustrating trying to figure out what I need to do outside of prayer.

Marisa, I'm so sorry for what you are going through. Ongoing illness is so difficult. There is certainly a time to ask God the "Why Questions?" And then there are times when we shelve those questions and just ask "What?" What should I do in this season for help and relief? What do the experts recommend? What wisdom has the Lord led me to utilize? What medicines and remedies has the Lord providentially supplied? What is the Lord doing during this difficult season that I can praise Him for? I'm going to take some time right now to pray for strength, relief, and blessing to come your way.

My heart goes out for you. I too have illness in my life and my loved ones that have yet to be overcome. I personally stopped some time ago asking why or figuring out origins. And I'm very analytical. (If I'm contributing to a problem or learn of a cause, I definitely want to address it with God's help.) Jesus didn't diagnose. Why? When you have the solution for any problem, you don't require diagnosis. You don't need information to try to figure out a solution. You just fix the problem with the all-sufficient power you have available. The Father has made His unlimited power and authority available to His children because He loves us and has compassion for us. I've overcome illness personally and ministered healing to others when I applied faith to this truth I found in His word. I'm praying with you too. Never give up. Rely solely on God's power and love. You will overcome in the name of Jesus. To God be all the glory!

How do we distinguish a “yellow” or “red light” from doubt?
@curtisroth
@curtisroth 9 ай бұрын
Maybe we are supposed to ‘live on yellow,’ waiting for the green?
@Jerod610
@Jerod610 9 ай бұрын
Great question. A red light (meaning a NO from the Lord) would have to come through direct divine revelation in my opinion. If the Lord tells someone, "NO, I'm not going to take this away," then we know that He will be faithful to give the necessary strength to endure in a way that glorifies Him and He will in turn give an eternal weight of glory in heaven as a reward for faithfulness. I don't know how often God actually does this (give red lights). But He certainly reserves the right to do so. This doesn't mean that His heart is not for healing, it just means that He won't give that healing until the resurrection. The yellow lights are much more normative. In these situations, healing is both available and and possible, but there may be hindrances in the way, or a timing piece at play. In these cases we persevere, keep asking, and acting on the faith that we do have in tangible ways. The matter of doubt or faithlessness does play a factor here. Each person should investigate their own heart on the matter and allow others who are spiritually attuned around them to help discern whether or not that is a factor that needs to be addressed.

Using Cain and Abel, wasn’t that the cause of the fallen world? Adam and Eve, I’m sure, grieved over the death of their son. Why did God allow and not protect Abel from being killed? Do any of you think that there was a sin needed to be forgiven of by God so that Adam and Eve wouldn’t face this suffering? Or was there a plan by God that allowed for this? Thanks.

Elohim does not give us hard lessons, it is WE who require to be HUMBLED and therefore it is US who choose to either be stubborn and hard or submit and be maluable in the hand of our Great Elohim.. To conform us into the image of Jesus Christ, our blessed Saviour. It is WE who need to take responsibility of acknowledging our error, sin, unrighteousness, seeking The father's mercy's and Forgiveness, taking responsibility for our choices and submitting oneself and humanity and the situation of mankind unto The Lord..? We are told that a little leven, Levens the whole lump and this purification process we are in, in being transformed into the image of Jesus Christ also includes purification us from said leven and living (not pretending, but being as like one breaths naturally) humbly and being humble.. Like Moses, like Jesus our role model. ❤

At minute 30 you ask regarding why are some ill... But to my current understanding you all seem to neglect the fact that when we sin against the righteousness of Elohim and one another, that Sin gets in our way and legally has the right to afflict because we have transgressed the law of love, which Jesus instructs us to walk in and practice along with and in his righteousnes,but then transgression that law of righteous love, then brings the curses outlined in Deuteronomy.. Afteral, we are to be holy as he is holy and our righteousness needs to supercede that of the pharaseas =law of love.. All the law hangs on this.

@@Sanibel24 Jesus says that all the law hangs on this.. The law of love is loving the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbour as yourself... The first being love The Lord.. Loving the Lord includes doing or behaving in a way that is befitting to the king of glory as we bear his name. If we transgress this law of loving him instead of ourselves, we get slapped about.. NOT by The Lord our God, as he is merciful, but by our own stupid, rebellious choices and Ha Satan... And it's done legally.. Just like a police officer would arrest you legally if you were to punch someone or run a red light.. The law is in perpetual motion so to speak. Loving heavenly father is respecting and honouring his holy word and name (we carry his name) , when we transgress this because of our lack of maturity, stupidly or rebellion or ignorance, we do it either deliberately or innocently.. Both get consequences because the devil is a legal summersaultist who takes great delight is drop kicking God's people and causing havoc in their lives to cause them to hate the loving, healthy boundaries that God put in place for our good and Satan desires us all to be separated from the one who loves us.. Remember Job. Choose obedience =love. Choose disobedience=hate, it's literally the same in physical life;parent child relationship, friendships etc. We need to remember that God is righteous and we, if we trust Jesus, are being transformed into his likeness character wise.. Why? Because our character flaws being in this fallen world are selfish, hateful aka unholy and unrighteous. Hope this answers your question 😊

@@Sanibel24 lastly, when we transgress, the enemy assaults us... And this coupled with our unrepentant sin stands in the way of us believing the best of God our father, blaming him for our transgressions and blaming him despite us NOT keeping within his boundaries and NOT practicing love instead of hate. Also, when we do not practice forgivness, mercy, kindness etc, we practice the opposite which is sin.. =pride=self love.. It is written God gives grace to the humble but with stands the proud... Should the rebellious get rewarded good for their wicked rebellion? God forbid! As for the weak, the sick etc.. It could be any number of reasons why they are suffering, not just sin... In any case, our hearts are put through the refiner and purifier for our ETERNAL good. Life after all is MORE than the body. Hope this helps.

@@sherriepalmer2010 I appreciate your explaining where you are thinking on this. I am still not sure how you see sin and how that affects healings. Do you believe that healing is hindered by sin? If so, would that be 100% of the time? 50%? The reason I’m wondering is because I’ve had a long period of time that I’ve thought on, lived on and searched this topic. I don’t know everything and like hearing how others come to the conclusion of God withholding healing due to sin. And I’m sorry if you thought I would get back with a comment yesterday. My work started shortly after I made the comment to you.

Faith? I am not word of faith,I also would identify more as a Provisionist.I/we are currently walking through a life altering and heart breaking illness with a child. Not trying to proof text but I struggle/ponder Jesus words in relation to Faith and Healing. I also dont want to fall into the trap where I explain away what Jesus said and try to make it fit into a nice neat little box. Also worth mentioning that Jesus marveled at unbelief and faith .All verses are from the NLT. Matt 13:58 And so he did only a few miracles there because of their unbelief Mark 6:5 And because of their unbelief, he couldn’t do any miracles among them except to place his hands on a few sick people and heal them. Mark 5:34 And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.” Matt 9:22 Jesus turned around, and when he saw her he said, “Daughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was healed at that moment.
