The first leg game vs Barcelona is probably the best counterattack masterclass ever seen. He planned that game thoroughly and beat them. Yes, one goal was offside, but Inter could have scored more than that also. Everytime a Barcelona player had the ball, they had 2 players closing every passing line and another man marking. And Inter attacked space on the counter relentlessly. Guardiola was outlcassed in both legs... defending 10 vs 11 for 70 minutes against that brilliant team and managing to limit them to 3 dangerous shots was absolutely phenomenal

It’s one of the greatest deals ever, they got Eto’o, Hleb and the 46 millions $ for Zlatan. That means that basically Eto’o’s salary was paid for the two years he was with them. Then Inter made $ winning the treble and selling jerseys. In the second year they finished second in Serie A but won the Coppa and the World championship which was as coveted as the champion’s league by ownership. Finally, they sold Eto’o to Anzhi were he went on to become the highest paid player for two years. It is I believe one of the greatest piece of business ever… Real Madrid acquiring CR7 was similar. They got him from Man U for 100 millions, won everything, made millions with his likeness and sold him a decade later to Juve for…100 millions… just incredible impeccable business…⚽️❗️

Mourinho doesn't like sticking around for too long at a club and he wanted to leave every club he managed on a high. The so-called least seasons at the other clubs hes managed at other was mainly due to fatigue, boardroom shenanigans, dressing room bust-ups and the lot. Today's footballers are too coddled and the managers aren't tuned in to what it means to be a MANAGER, not just a coach who discusses tactics to his players, but one who could offer motivation and guidance when need be and kick up the backside.

Mourinho's teams are living proof that a strong defense and a solid counterattack can beat any other strategy. His Inter squad was the epitome of this. They faced all kinds of teams, playing totally different styles of football and he managed to neutralize them all. This was especially enlightning at the time when they faced Barcelona, previously thought unbeatable. But his tactics forced Barça to play anything but the only brand of football they knew, which was tiki taka. The catalans perfected that tactic so much that they would absolutely crumble whenever they were forced to play any other way, something that would start to happen more frequently before the formal end of the tiki taka era.

Da interista sarò per sempre grato a Mou e Milito e tutta l'Inter di quell anno per avermi regalato um triplete, ilsogno di ogni tifoso affezionato

the difference between pep and mourinho is the fact that pep makes good teams great, but mourinho makes losers winners. Whether that makes one better than the other I don't know and frankly I don't care, we're really lucky to see geniuses like this coach teams in the same era Also 19:15 i found it hilarious that mourinho went to shit talk pep and zlatan was rearing to dish something back until he realized it was jose and decided it wasn't worth it

Milito could have won the Ballon D'Or if it was fair, man was so clutch
@omarfadil122611 ай бұрын
It was the team spirit that won them all of that more than their talents. Mourinho was able to create in them that feeling and make his players feel taller than they actually are to the point that they believed him and performed accordingly.

Amazingly put together video btw. I remember the day of the champions league final, the weather was amazing in the UK and we were down the beach. I ended up bumping into an inter fan and have a great conversation about the team and games. I was made up they won it, I'd seen many of their games that season and it was hard not to fall in love with that team.

Guardiola is a certified genius but he never had to start with virtually nothing, and that makes Mourinho the GOAT in my book.
