David Martin the engine is in the back for control if the engine is in the middle or front the tires will dig in making it harder to turn and also makes it easier to get stuck and it's also in the back so it's closer to the rear wheels making traction better it's makes it almost impossible to get stuck and it's 2wd so it can keep its center of gravity down so it doesn't flip while going up a steep dune the engine is also in the back so if a wheelie where to occur accidentally on a steep sand dune the weight isn't in front to flip the sand rail backwards, and also every single owner of a sand rail has the choice of softening the suspension making it much harder to wheelie, and that's why the engine is in the back and I'm open to critique.

yeah that doesn't mean anything lol a Bugatti veyron has 1500 HP and goes 250 mph and its a v16 engine and a formula 1 car has a v6 and its fast as hell HP doesn't mean anything its weight, suspension, aerodynamics, lol

+Santiago Villegas Yeah, the NRE rail is amazing. I've spent years in the dunes. Power is a HUGE part of it, but set up is final. Gears, paddle style, air pressure. But I would love to see the two go at it..
