Hey buddy great video one question what controller do you use for your bunk heater I noticed another controller underneath that one my bunk heater doesn’t work I think somebody removed my heater control I have a loose connector with nothing connected to it I was wondering if that where the heater control goes to thanks

Hmmm I have the evolution apu and I'm wondering if I have a blown fuse that's also effecting my heater from staying on but I only get the triangle for the ac and I've never heard of this.

Fucking awesome man! Mine went down 2 days ago. I checked all the fuses to the fans cause I noticed the condenser fan and radiator fan was not coming on. All the fuses were good. I never checked the 7cf fuse12. Now I know what the cf means. Condenser fan👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I did not have a 25 amp but I did have a 30 so in it went and my shit is fixed now. Thanks for the video bro. I was on the edge of going to thermo king for repair.

I changed my fuse it worked alittle longer for about 5 mins and did the same thing all over. Could something else be blowing out my fuse?

How about trouble shooting the apu heat portion? I just lost my bunk heat and I'm trying to figure it out.

Bunk heat is usually through a diesel fired heater. Atleast ours were so all our APU did in heat was keep the main engine warm and keep the battery charged so the webasto heater can run longer

I got a couple of time red triangle just shut down and I tried them turn on couple times and they complete shut down now I don't have any power maybe I need to check that box

I'm guessing the fan keeps it from icing up on the condenser

Condenser rejects heat so it keeps the condenser cool so the refrigerant cools and can absorb heat when it returns to the evaporator inside the cabin

what could be the reason? My power button on the panel stopped turning on? the backlight lights up as if it was turned on normally, and then the backlight turns off, I checked all the fuses, everything is whole and unharmed

Same thing to me and I call my friend that knows everything about APU and told me to check the coolant valves, and he was right. They were closed, I opened them and everything was ok.

Nope, it did not work for me. Most of youtube troubleshooting videos never work for me too. My company set up 6 month maintenance program for apu. It must be something else besides this. Please donot misunderstand by this. Life is not as easy as this video! Lol.

Usually these systems use a seperate heater like a webasto diesel heater. Look for a separate control near the floor

Richard Stimpson your probably low on freon or the compressor has gone out. I would start with checking the freon level if you know how or get a mechanic at ta or any other shop that does AC work. Ports will be behind the service panel near the compressor at the bottom of the outside unit. You'll have to remove the bolts

In the way this one is set up. No. We use a diesel fuel webasto heater that is controlled separately the apu is only used to keep battery charged in heat mode

Hmm this sounds like an alternator going bad or a fridge or inverter drawing power all the time

Mine was doing that. Bought a new alternator. During install found the main ground coming off the alternator was rotted thru and disconnected

99% of APU problems are from the install..if you spend the time to install correctly you will be problem free

Depends.. Shitty installs are a problem but so are bad components. These systems are built with the cheapest parts that still give middle of the line longevity

I disagree every time I work on a Tk Apu it’s installer or mechanic error ..the belt is worn out because the mechanic didn’t put the belt in the right pulley position the hose is leaking because the installer failed to protect it
