@wrayven2 жыл бұрын
@@BigSky1 Seriously did you bother to read what I wrote. This song was released in 1966, which is the year I was born. I then say that I remember seeing this clip on public access cable when I was 12 which would be 1978. I was a Stones fan by 1972 or so when I first heard my sister playing Bitch. She was born in 59 and had more than a few Stones records that ended stealing from her as she became a Deadhead. I was well versed with The Stones by the time Some Girls came out, so I do realize it came out in 1978. I was totally bummed that my parents wouldn't let me go to show. They did let me go to see them for Tattoo You in 81. I think this video and the cover for the 45 are design touchstones of what the Stones put out a dozen years later for the cover of Some Girls. They added in a dash of Warhol and 40's-50's women's catalogs. When I originally saw this video in 1978, I thought it definitely impacted the look of Some Girls.

With its zany title, Keith Richards' raw guitar, pounding piano and blaring horns, the Stones have never sounded more progressive. That could be why this song barely scraped the Top Ten. For me, the wildest single of their career is Number One.

The Stones sort of blew this one by not actually doing a music video of them playing this song dressed in drag. Charlie Watts with a fox around his neck and a tiara on top of his head -- priceless. Saw the Stones in September 1967 on stage, along wiuth a crowd of almost 5000. The audience went wildest for this song. They also played 2 songs that were not yeat released on a record. After Brian left the group, it was never to be the same, sadly.
