Really interesting especially the bit where a balloon full of water did not survive a drop from 2 metres in a helmet. A balloon full of water is a better model of a brain with in skull than the hard headform used in testing. That explains while helmets may protect against skull injury but rarely protect against fatal or disabling brain damage. Donal does not explain if he modelled the effects on a soft fluid brain full of fragile linking tissue in his computer simulation.

He was making a point and there are plenty of videos to show the benefits of helmets. There is one Czech report that shows it quite clearly. Also would stopping some of the injuries be better than stopping none at all. Penative skull injuries are very dangerous.
