I have got a pool but it is not long enough to swim so I have got a tether and have started doing tethered swimming to help with cross training. I'm excited to add in the aqua jogging to help with my overall fittness and would love the 2 week training program :) I love your content thanks so much, Sarah from Australia

I've been deep water running for years before and after bilateral knee replacements. I find it keeps me mobile and the big bonus is I can't fall and hurt myself. Just wish the fitness monitor industry would add this to the monitors.

Thank You!! I had tried water running a year or so ago, but I used a flotation belt. It did not feel like running, and my pulse rate was quite low. I water ran today without the flotation device, and it was a great workout!

Just started deep water running this week due to plantar fasciitis. Can't wait to start the endurance training. I have a half marathon in December.

Is aqua jogging good for hip and knee replacement?
@TheRunExperience23 күн бұрын
Aqua jogging can be beneficial for individuals recovering from hip and knee replacement surgeries. Here are some reasons why: 1. **Low Impact**: The buoyancy of water reduces stress on the joints, making it easier to perform movements without the risk of injury. 2. **Strengthening**: Aqua jogging helps build strength in the leg muscles, which is crucial for supporting the joints post-surgery. 3. **Range of Motion**: The resistance of water can aid in improving flexibility and range of motion in the hips and knees. 4. **Cardiovascular Fitness**: It provides a good cardiovascular workout without the impact associated with running on land. 5. **Pain Relief**: The warmth of the water can promote relaxation and alleviate pain. Before starting aqua jogging, it's essential to consult with a physical therapist or healthcare provider to ensure it aligns with your specific recovery plan and to receive guidance on proper techniques.

What are you using to time all the intervals?
@DD-ee2nv3 жыл бұрын
I have Lisfrank disease in both of my feet from too much pounding and too many miles. Damage has now turned into arthritis. I will probably never run again, even walking hurts. I'm going to try this.

Excellent workout for my crazy broken body! In the last 3 years I have fractured an ankle, a wrist, a hip and 2 vertebrae. This is the ONLY workout that improves my pain level. I have only been at it 2 weeks but I feel this is my ticket back to a healthy body. I will let you know my improvement after another 4 wks.

I’ve been water jogging due to a labral and glut medius injury. The problem is after Im done and as the day goes on my upper trap/back area starts to really hurt. I assume it’s postural. What should I be paying attention to to stop the pain.
@raquelbpupo6 жыл бұрын
This is seriously the only thing I can do with an anterior hip labral tear. I wonder though how effective it is for weight loss. I don't feel like I'm doing much 🤔 but I finish and feel super hungry. My heart rate never really goes up like when I jog on land.
@TheRunExperience6 жыл бұрын
Raquel, sorry to hear about your tear. Swimming always makes me hungry too! Just be mindful of your recovery meal and focus on whole foods. That paired with any recovery can aid in weight loss.

Exactly! I can read this stuff - came to KZbin bc I’d like to see what this looks like, and beyond what basic aqua jogging looks like - what is hard and easy effort like on the pool?? Still no clue
