NewBalance More V4 FOREVER!!! It's the best max cushioned shoe I've ever had! Best overall

Ever considered reviewing the Topo brand? The Atmos could have a place in this category I think. Keep up the great and honest reviews!

Would love to see a video on ‘regular’ shoes that could work for a newbie marathon - maybe daily shoes that are cushioned enough for longer distances, but have good energy return. I realise carbon plated shoes would be the ‘best’ choice, but for those on a budget, a capable daily shoe is more likely for beginners to the marathon - I’m possibly thinking Hoka Mach 6 and the like. Thanks!
@pbnotj12 ай бұрын
Try out novablast 4 , but a lot of these shoes would work to try as newer runners for the marathon. You do not need carbon plated shoes , nick is the fast amateur that those shoes will make a difference for , but for non competitive runners there are great shoes like novablast 4 at best price for value range you should check out . Look for new balance 1080 v13 to go on sale as v14 comes soon? When new model comes out pick up the old model for premium shoes like this is a good trick !

Using the Brooks Glycerin 21 at the moment (especially with being injured so more walking ) however I really did like the 1080v13 and put over 400 miles in them before passing to salvation army

The hurricane nailed my Achilles with the plastic internal heel support I had to return them. I have NB4 but want more foam for long runs, FFX too soft for my liking , I love a rocker and pop, maybe skyflow?

saucony Hurricane 24 I don't know if it's a design change or a defective product. The shoes on the official Saucony website are different from the actual shoes. I think the hotspot was created when I changed the back of the midsole of the shoe.

A lot of love for the Velocity Nitro 3. I picked up a pair of Velocity Nitro 2 for £50 which are still an excellent option. I actually prefer them to the 3 which are noticeably more narrow

I don't know why Nike has discontinued the TEMPO NEXT% line. I have done controlled testing and no other shoe that I have tested can match the energy return of those shoes including all of the Alphafly and Vaporfly shoes. It is a heavy shoe but that is actually good for training. It makes a lighter racing shoe feel great on race day.

Ride 17. Nothing revolutionary but they work really well. Swapped from Boston 12 as they hard plastic uppers were digging into my instep. Ride 17 has nearly 300 miles and has very little wear so far. It does fit a touch too long though like a 1/4 of size too long.

@@jembesjembes1I have novablast 4 tr and use it as my daily . Just awesome cushion response and midsole is durable, not too soft or firm ! Tr edition had more outsole traction for the gravel road style trails near my home. Love it and just not the newer release but folks should check it out . Awesome value for the price !

Thanks gents. Tom, other than the stability aspect, would you put the Hurricane 24 in the same genre as the More v5, Topo Atmos, and Ghost Max 2 in terms of recovery? I ask because I'm in the market for a recovery shoe to replace the More v4, which is near end-of-life. Are there other recovery shoes you would recommend? Thank you.

Nice video, thanks. I am looking for a mid stack shoe for easy miles and recovery beacuse my (narrow) feet (toes) get numb running in high stack cushioned shoes. I prefer a snug feel shoe with a grippy outsole due to weather conditions in autumn and winter time. What shoe would you advise to use for easy runs and recovery runs only?
