I wouldn’t be surprised if Cartoon Network wanted more forms to sell toys with and the writers didn’t have the stories lined up to highlight them best. The Andromeda Five are the only ones who seem to be done at all well and they had a whole story arc they were crucial to.

Fasttrack was faster than a point blank explosion. Gwen and Kevin didn't even saw him move, and he was carrying two people too. Not saying he's faster than XLR8, but the gap is not that huge.

@@royalbloodedge6005 TBH both xlr8 and fast track are speed aliens, and its never made explicitly clear how fast either is in the actual show. They are both as fast as the plot/writers want them to be. Outside material claims xlr8 can run at 500 mph. However, some episodes of classic have xlr8 moving far faster than that, with him being able to stop time and react to lightning. Xlr8's speed is very inconsistent. The same could be said for fast track. He apparently was faster than a point blank explosion, but he still struggles to catch up to animo's missile in this episode because of plot reasons. Neither of them have feats that the other couldn't feasibly accomplish.

At least we were introduced to Juryrig, easily one of Ben's best aliens...in Omniverse. Also the "fixfixfixfix" moment looked really off. You could tell the UAF artstyle is not meant for more cartoony animations like that.

This is one of the goofy episodes i actually enjoyed for it's silliness. It does feel like this should've come earlier in episode list, like right after Ben 10000 Returns, to properly introduce the new aliens.

Yeah in my opinion these new aliens in Season 2 of UA were... mostly the point where the designs and powers started to be weak. I have grown to like both Jury-Rigg and Fasttrack a bit more by now, but at the time I thought they were disappointing. And I never really liked Eatle due to him feeling like a discount Upchuck. But yeah, aside from the rather clever idea behind Jury-Rigg's powers, this episode is one of my least favourite in UA, and kinda illustrates an issue I mentioned with UA before: tonal whiplash. We moved from a very dark and gritty episode about Stokholm syndrome and an arc about a lovecraftian god, to a goofy episode about Animo using a farm to make pterodactyles. That was... weird for this show. ... Though admittedly this episode being mediocre to begin with didn't help.

@@alienx8900 The esoterica crossed dimensions at a the speed of a dude jumping through a door, it's not an instant teleport. They were annoying to fight because they were tricky to hit, but you see forever knights hitting them during their war. Also Kevin is straight up not faster than light, cartoons don't use real world logic when it comes to laser beams 99.9% of the time which is why so many cartoon characters will dodge lasers and lightning while not being anywhere near fast enough to realistically dodge it.

There is NO evidence of XLR8 going faster than time. He in Baseball episode he was so fast that "Cameras 📸 failed to capture him" this is however NOT a ridiculous feat because even in real life Bruce Lee was able to hit so fast Cameras were unable to pick his speed. XLR8 Baseball feat is already calculated by Character Stats and Vsbattle wiki both and it's Mach 136. FasTrack scales to Kevin who dodged a FTL (Faster than Light), radiation beam from Pandor in Ultimate Alien.

The tail end of UA's new aliens were always some of my favorites. Clockwork has always been in my top 10, and it actually kinda frustrated me how little he was utilized and how lackluster all his early uses were (as a hologram, then by Gwen with no fanfare, then gets bodied by Nesmith) I took to Fasttrack and ChamAlien immediately, I really liked their designs. But ChamAlien basically disappearing after 3/4 uses always bummed me out, and Fasttrack having several split-second uses for most of this appearances, and I was super upset when they just never returned in OV. Eatle I really liked, though his OV redesign took a while to adjust to. I think I still prefer Dee as his voice though. Jury Rigg I honestly care about the least, but introducing what is basically a gremlin alien I thought was neat to explore, and his design in OV is way better. Though for how disliked he was initially, its weird he got his own grand debut in the same vain as Cannonbolt, whereas the rest, who are arguably cooler than him if you ask me, got very mediocre introductions. I can't tell if the aliens were all tossed in to make up for lost time, since Ben went the entirety of AF only unlocking two new forms and re-unlocking five old ones (and never using one of them), if they were made to by corporate, or if they just ran out of time. But using Ben not trusting his new aliens is honestly bogus, cuz it's literally never been the case after unlocking around 19 now aliens since he first got the Omnitrix (Alien X being the obvious outlier). Seemed like they were trying to find a way to justify their scarcity; maliciously or otherwise I couldn't tell you.

The only UA alien I actually dislike is FastTrack, i like clockwork and am indifferent on the others. And yeah, I know, "lol hating on FastTrack" but to this day i still consider him absolutely pointless. His design is not as unique or interesting as XLR8, his voice isn't anything special, he's not as fast as XLR8 (even in classic, XLR8's speed, while inconsistent, has him going faster than mach 3 on several occasions WITH better control over his speed), and XLR8 is also generally more entertaining to watch fight (although had fast track gotten some more unique fight scenes like the ones xlr8 got that may have been different). I don't even like making fun of FastTrack, i just think to myself "damn XLR8 could have done all that and been more entertaining" every time he shows up

For some reason I always enjoyed this episode despite how barren it felt. I liked the sheriff's commentary on Ben's aliens having a green card but everything else felt a bit dumb. Wish we got more love for the new aliens and I really feel like we didn't need any of them EXCEPT Clockwork

I know how hated he is but I can't help it. I love Jury Rigg. The little chaos gremlin that can make the most ridiculous things in a somehow more realistic yet sometimes still more impressive way than Upgrade is just fun to me. I wish we saw more of him.

Honestly I more upset than Ben haven’t use Wildvine, grey matter, upgrade, stinkfly or eye guy since Ben 10k unlock them for him , at least a cameo of them , freaking xlr8 got a hologram but they use fasttrack (a new alien because a game that I barely remember) as the speedster which it suck since omniverse decide to dump him for original speedy alien .

The reason Jetray, and the last four aliens we know of, didn’t show up in Omniverse was because the toy company that had a brand deal with Ben 10 said they made too much aliens and needed to market toys towards the ones they have. So pretty much those four got shafted because they were trying to make Fasttrack different from XRL8, Jetray to wear clothes. Chamalien was supposed to be in Universe vs Tennyson but they had to rewrite the script.
