Love your videos. When I was out there as a company driver, I ran out and back. My issue was not weather (motel city time) but rather traffic. We, for the most part, ran the same thing 6 months at a time. I never left the east coast in 33 years. My concern was traffic. I made sure I knew the exits from 95 to 301 and kept the 2 way on all the time. When I heard about back ups and wrecks I could bail off the "big road". I would take your choice everytime to avoid ice and heavy snow. Diet is going to become more important each year to you. At one point, I would carry pre cooked egg whites in zip bags.🦇 Later, after watching I thought, I do not believe I would have posted stuff around 14:26.

Being that I work with these trucks, I would recommend getting it serviced and see if you can get it into someone who can do a program update for it. There are regular updates that come out for these in Aus, so I don't imagine that it would be much different in the US. There can be issues with the activation cylinder, but that could be more relevant to our climate

Back in 1980 till 1990 I-77 from the Virginia state line to Charleston,WV aka West Virginia turnpike was mostly two lane roads and was under construction it took about 3hrs to drive it. That's also in a four wheeler

Volvos are amongs the best i heavy snow. If you having issues its with your frankenstein truck. Volvos go in -20F here yearly. You are in the best or one of the best brand to beat the winter wonderland.

Lol, I once took an alternate route to Spokane WA from SOCAL to avoid a mountain snow storm. The alternate was Vegas up to Twin Falls via the 93. On the morning of delivery the broker called to ask for my location. When told I was at destination a litany of profanity erupted on my phone. Basically 6 other trucks were on the same delivery and they were all stuck in the mountains. FYI, broker never apologized for his uncalled for language.

Originally from WV, nothing wrong with it, lol!! The issue is it’s one of the least populated states in the country. It’s very rural, like almost the entire state is forest. There’s no hustle and bustle like in J’ville. I’ve lived in both, Charleston is the only thing close to a “city” in WV. It is what it is, I miss the rural nature of the state…

It seemed the carrier you started with was good gave you new trucks all the time. I started driving about the same time as you (im from canada ) went back to the oilfield in 2021 (more money) .
