When the listing was live I searched on ebay myself and I saw that that picture was being used on at least 3 other listings with similar titles.

looks like the breakers marks are in different places. had a wiper linkage and motor from a breakers on ebay which had the same problems as my original one. dared to try fix the original one since I had two semi-functional ones then sent it back. serial number on label, surface rust/corrosion patches and breakers marks where clearly different on the ebay pictures

You can find most parts in salvage/ scrap yards like axels etc

Discs are trashed best off to replace. Wouldn’t use those backing plates either. Wouldn’t be surprised if it needs new wheel bearings too

Could I put 04 disc break and axle on to a 2000 plate corsa

Have you tried your local Vauxhall dealer for a price on those plate I work for one in Scotland so no good to you really but you may be surprised as I know astra rear ones are only 10-15 each brand new but I would advise painting them once bought to prolong there life as the paint is so thin from factory. If you need any help with anything for it let me know.

yeah, prices are usually good. they will probably want the reg plate off a 1.8/1.7 or whatever car had the rear discs on... had a hungover knob fuck up my order of wheel arch bumper liners for a facelift bumper i was putting on a preface... then blamed me and refuse to refund.

Hello Mr Savage Garage! I’ve been following you for some time now. In fact you’ve saved my Girlfriends 1.8sri Corsa C quite a few trips to the garage for repairs as we’ve been doing them ourselves! So thanks for that! 😊 Looking forward to the MOT prep video as...it’s just failed on emissiosn. It’s had a recent oil change, oil filter, fuel filter, Spark plugs, new o2 sensor and I replaced to mass airflow with one from the scrapers and it’s been running like a dream! But now it’s been failed on this one thing. So it’s the test for o2 and has to be between 0.97-1.3 it’s coming out at 1.071 Any advise on this as a few mechanic people I’ve asked said this isn’t much of a problem and should have passed? Think my ex’s mechanic may have the hump as we’ve been doing own work and he took it in for an mot at an mot centre. Any advise greatly received! 😊 I’ve been buying loads of tools and getting getting a bit obsessed!! Keep up the good work, you’ve helped so much.

Christopher Halls Try a bottle cat a clean or a fuel system cleaner as its a cheap option to bring emissions down a bit if the systems dirty or cat is a bit choked

Regards backing plates. Please note the picture on ebay has tigra in tip ex written on them. Yours don't have this. Definitely not the ones sent to you.

I also kept my old 1.2 axel and welded the plates on if you take a look on my KZbin your see it :)

You can see in the picture you got from eBay it has been written on the backing plate tigra n/s etc and on yours it doesn't 🤔

Hi, I am also swapping my rear axle for the disc brakes. I've got a question to ask: did you need to swap the abs for those disks to work properly? I've heard some do that but I don't see why.

@@Lelicks you need the rear axle from GSI with the hubs. You fit those to a normal (for drum brakes) axle.

hey man once you re working on the rear breaks I have a relevant question. do you know why the rear wheels don't lock when you pull the handbrake while moving on corsas?? I have a corsa c and I ve driven a corsa e, and when you pull the handbrake you can feel the rear wheels slowing down but not "locking". if you or anyone here knows let me know :D I love the corsa series btw ;D

Dimitris mallis honestly mate go faster and proper pull the handbrake hard, maybe turn the wheel a bit too or do it when wet, I’m sure they’ll lock up 😉

many have driven my corsa no one have been able to lock them man. you can do handbrake turns just fine if you pull the handbrake and turn the wheel but even then the rear wheels spin (slower but they still do). if you ever drive a corsa c (because I think all of them have this characteristic, not just my corsa c) you would understand what I mean

I had the same back in the day went from a mk4 fiesta which the rear wheels would lock up dead easy to a mk6 fiesta which wouldn’t , I think the new cars have stretchier cables than they used to
