Remember guys Jon took 3 years to get fat to fight Francis. Francis is so much bigger and stronger than jones, what are jones paths to victory considering the stipe fight. He’s gonna have a hard time taking Francis down and he’ll only be in kicking range for so long til Francis pushes him against the cage cuts him off and bombs him out of consciousness. Aspinall can ko, sub and could take at least 3/5 rounds from both fighters considering how gassed Jones looked after r1 against Stipe. If Tom fights Jon, he should practice blitzing with punches. Jon likes to turn away from punches and against Stipe he would almost give his back a bit when Stipe punched. Blitz to get past Jon’s hand fighting and distance control. Tom would exploit his speed and power advantage. Practicing back control would be the next phase of attack. Rear Chokes and dirty boxing. That is the plan A I would go with. Plan B and Plan C would involve getting Jon out of his comfort zones and taking away his weapons and tendencies.

No one realizes that Bones studies every fighter in his radar obsessively, unless he does not take them seriously. His fight IQ is way above what people may think. They will pressure the UFC to co promote with the PFL. This fight has a very good chance of happening. Jon wants a big pay day. Jon is prepared to vacate the title.

How many cross promotional events have happened, involving the UFC, where one of the two fighters involved... Dana HATES and will absolutely throw up any roadblock he can to stop that from happening. On top of that... There is far more demand for tom Vs Jon in this moment now anyway. That is a fight which Involves fighters under the same promotion, and a fight that Dana already wants to make. The Saudis would find it significantly easier to book. If they got involved, that is what they would be doing
