Whole body vibration machines have been around for a while, but they are brand new to me! I discovered its existence at CES 2023 in Las Vegas, and y life feels forever changed!!
I'm so excited to embark on this experimental journey to see whether a whole body vibration plate can help:
improve my circulation?
improve my mental health? concentration? creativity?
improve my muscle tone?
... anything else I should document?
Let me know in the comments!

I have been living out of a suitcase for the past several month (traveling nonstop) so I haven’t been able to complete the follow-up to this video yet! I plan to be settled in one place next year and will be sure to make a part two then. 😊 thank you for your patience! Regarding the Vibration Plates, you were being scammed by them not giving full disclosure. I am sorry but the " 10 mins and stand there and wobble side-to-side zero effort workout " is a SCAM . A bald faced lie. And will only stop you from ever getting the results you could have gotten. I am not exaggerating when I say these people have turned this technology into a joke, all but destroying all the original good work it was designed to do. Eg .... The position shown on this video to hook you in, was originally designed for those recovering from a stroke and to help regain your balance ( proprioception ). And was proven to work faster than normal manual rehab. But it is important to note, it only worked on lower frequencies. Too fast and the signal from the muscles to the brain only made its way to the base of the spine. The idea of telling people to stand on the machine and wind up the speed came from MARKETERS. Trying to sell machines to people with obesity issues and no motivation to move. Those always looking for the magic pill solution. Please note: Much of the rehab and massage positions will help with general rehab and circulation issues. But fat% loss or quality muscle / bone gain is where they cross the line into scammer territory. Just ponder this, if passive vibration entering the body worked like that, all truck drivers would be shredded. ( Yes, sometimes comedy gets the message across in a manner you can not deny.) Think about it, what can you do for 10 mins straight and not even feel tired and it gives you amazing results. Seriously folks, you KNOW it is a scam..

I bought my vibration plate machine on Amazon in November 2022 and have been using it ever since. I am 84 diagnosed with osteoporosis a few years back. When I first started on the machine I had to hold onto the stand and use the lowest setting. Now I use it with no holding on and on the highest setting. My balance is great and I feel SO much better than I did two years ago. More energy for sure. No night cramps in my legs any longer. My knees don't hurt now. I can now do squats and lift weights. I use it every day and just am so happy I read about it online. Made my life so much better. 🥰

I have been using my vibration platform for 4 months now, twice a day. I have lumbar spinal stenosis and could barely walk when I found the machine. My doctor was working me up for surgery but I didn't qualify because of deterioration in the bone. Now I'm walking two miles a day and I haven't needed Prednisone or muscle relaxers or opioids for months now. I don't know why my doctor never told me about this. Oh! I also lost twelve pounds 😂

I bought it on the Walmart website and it was very reasonably priced. It was my first one and I love it. The second one is a Lifepro Rumblex 3D curve. Its big and quite cumbersome to move around but if your keeping it in one spot that shouldn't matter. This has many different types of Oscillation selections etc. Its more expensive too. I do nearly a whole workout using my dumbells and fitbands on these things. I took my time in the beginning just starting with myself on it then did bodyweight moves. Then I began adding weight.

My sister and I each have one and swear by them! I really love caring for my health. People ask me about how to be healthy, but they think eating whole foods, exercising, hydrating properly, rebounding, thinking positively, and getting good sleep are too much effort. They tell me they want a quick fix. Okay, so I tell them to stand on a shake plate for 15 minutes a day - literally, just stand there! They don't believe me. Seems some people just want to stay unwell! 🤷

At 55 with hypothyroidism and menopause I was racked with muscle and joint pain, to the point that I was afraid to change position in bed. I found a vibration plate in a charity shop (thrift store) for £10. Let me tell you, it has saved my life. 15 mins a day and I am moving about like a young woman. I stopped using it for a few months and everything slowly came back, started using it again and I'm fit again. So I 100% know, the plate is the cure for me.

I was intrigued when I first came across WBV. and it's been around for A long time. I am post menopause, wanting to increase bone density. I felt like this would be something beneficial for me. I bought a vibration Plate & SHAZAM! I'm like where has this been all my life? There are SOO many plates out there I researched and basically , low vibration plate no bells or whistles , they all seem to have Bluetooth , which is .. whatever . The MAIN thing is doing yoga and Pilates on the plate is so bomb. 15 min. and I am sweating. or I will just sit on it and vibratemeditate. some people jive with the vibe plates and some don't. I am just SOOO grateful I came across this. I love it.

Hi, I’ve had mine now for 11 months and I can’t live without it. Sounds strange but it’s true. I suffered terribly from sciatica on my right leg from considerable driving. After one month of 10 minutes per day, it’s gone. I even put it in the car if I’m going somewhere farther than I’ll be away for more than one day so I can use it wherever I’m going either in a hotel room or at another friends house. I’m 62 years young and I am toned with greater muscle and bone density. Thank you vibration therapy.

Menopausal and overweight female. Been using it for couple of months along with doing exercises on it with weighted balls/ hand weights, squeezing ball between knees, arm and leg exercises for 10-15 minutes most days after walking on treadmill for 30 minutes and it gives sooo much energy. I’m losing weight and inches , and feel the difference in my strength. I had two discs replaced in neck at end of Oct , and needed to walk to stabilize those titanium discs and noticed stiffness in upper cervical spine and find that I’m building strength and flexibility in those areas.

I used a vibration table booth at my gym that combined Infrared light therapy along with it. Also had a great sound system and it was very immersive and soothing. I had a certain workout that I did one week that completely locked up my upper back and shoulders... the tenseness was really bad. I remembered the vibration machine and did it before my next workout(while I was still quite wracked with the upper back pain) and BOOM! it was gone! Crazy that I was putting up with this pain when a little joggling was all I needed. I just ordered a vibration plate for at home... really looking forward to using it for warmup before working out at home. Looking forward to your update

@@TheScienceofSelfCare It can potentiate any small amount of exercise such as walking or riding a short time on my “magnetic resistance” exercise bike. Magnetic resistance makes a huge difference compared to a leather strap rubbing against a metal flywheel on an exercise bike. Perhaps you can make a video on the difference between a magnetic resistance exercise bike, old-school leather strap resistances, and some modern alternatives that may be just as smooth or even better than magnetic resistance exercise bikes. With Modern technology, it may be worth going over the topic so someone doesn’t have to waste as much money as I did on an expensive leather belt strap resistance exercise bike. I’m 62, so that’s my non-excuse and I’m sticking with it! ps… While standing up on my vibrating plate I pushed the tips of my fingers on the outside of my thighs as far down as I could reach and it gave my upper body and of course my arms a much better vibration! A thick foam matt or foam rubber pieces are strongly advisable under the legs, especially if you have people living beneath you. I always have something to grab and stabilize myself while I'm using it especially when I finish. Someone may swear that it’s not working until they step off of it and realize they are experiencing a significant rise in lactic acid levels. I walk afterward to burn that off. It feels like you just got off of a roller coaster, so prepare something to hold on to! Obviously, the better shape you are in you will have fewer issues with recovery, if not walk it off.

FYI....The HGH research was done by a Dr Bosco ( an athletic coach and innovator ) on a machine that unfortunately is a lot more powerful than the one you use. ( not frequency or amplitude, actual KN value .... Aka ... How heavy the vibration is ) It was this higher KN value that caused a 360% increase in HGH. In all his old research that figure was similar. It is why that research has not been replicated and will not be from the machine you are using ( ask to see the research ) We know it was the KN value, because as soon as others copied the frequency and amplitude, but a much lighter vibration, the results all but disappeared. Also Power Plate had an identical problem when they did their first tests at a German University on their original steel unit, with similar results, but when they went to fiberglass not only did they fail to record such changes, but users complained the machines felt weak. ( that is why they got people to start jumping around on the machines to hide that problem ) But by then they had moved the factory from Holland to China and had pumped out thousands of cheaper to produce machines, but in tests showed it had lost over 70% of its energy. Many companies steal the old research and attach it to their machine, of course not telling people the full story. That means for most people it over-promises and under-delivers. .

I just bought one! When you do you're follow-up, I'd be interested to know how you feel with different time intervals. Do you get more benefit from 30 min vs 10 min, for example. So far I've been doing mine for 10 min/day and I've noticed that the tension and pain I hold in my calves and knees (I'm hypermobile and have a lot of connective tissue pain) is significantly less.

My parents have a vibration plate and have had it for 8-9 + years. I used to play college softball and had transitioned to playing slow pitch softball. I would drop off our little guy to hang out with my parents while my husband and I would got to the fields and play. I would stay on the plate for 5-10 mins before going to the field and the days that I did (I would never warm up - I know, I know) but I would hit farther and running bases were easier than if I did not use the vibration plate. I also have restless legs and I feel like it helps tremendously to get my blood flowing throughout my body. I would be interested to see a study of someone lifting at their max weight, then trying the vibration plate for 10 mins and doing it again. Maybe it helps unleash our muscles and increase our strength - maybe due to increased blood flow? Just a theory but I'd love someone to run a study!

Found this a little late. I did a really deep dive into vibrations and their effects on bone density. The tests have shown extremely scattered results. Copilot has also stated (didn’t verify source) that some vibrations such as sitting in cranes all day every day can CAUSE osteoporosis, though now upon reflection it seems the sitting might have caused more osteoporosis than the vibrations. Somehow miraculously, thus vibration belt called OsteoBoost received FDA Approval for osteoporosis. This was very shocking for me given the mixed results in other independent tests. Maybe OsteoBoost got really lucky with the testing.

I recently bought the Lifepro Rumblex Max 4D during Amazon Prime Day for around $245 (before tax), it's a very powerful vibration machine with 3 motors for oscillating, lateral and pulsating, it comes with LIFETIME warranty and can supports up to 500 lbs user weight. I bought this machine to improve my health as I am over 60 yrs old and my work requires me to sit for 8 hours a day. After using the machine, it seems to improve my blood circulation, because I feel more energetic. My knees & legs feel stronger, I don't feel the pain anymore from my knees when walking up & down on the stairs. Personally I think it's worth buying if you don't like to do heavy exercises. Please note if you're a beginner, please start on slow speed and limit yourself to 10 minutes per workout. It could give you headache and dizziness if you are not use to it yet or if you do not use it properly .

" 30mgz and .3g that is recommended by the latest heavy metadata study " You may want to know most of the studies used in the meta analyses were bogus, done by the academics who own the company trying to sell them. The machine will work, but the "secret frequency and g-force setting " is all marketing. In reality the guy who founded the company Juvant ( Dr Clinton Rubin ) painted himself into a corner years ago by doing this. He put some mice on a platform the same size as a bathroom scale. With a very light vibration, based on his idea that by using micro-vibrations you could "sing" to bone cells and make them multiply. He got this idea from something called a "Bone phone" . Which is basically a device attached to your bone in your wrist that when vibrated could be picked up by the 3 tiny bones in your ear and turned into sound . Cool idea, if it worked. So what went wrong ? Well the mouse not only grew bone but also muscle and lost fat. A result that blew everyone away and got the scientific community talking, while Dr Rubin told everybody he had found the secret frequency and g-force on his first try. One HUGE mistake. Instead of actually measuring what the mouse was going through physically and increasing it in scale for a humans mass. He just put people on exactly the same plate. Made thousands of them as they are VERY cheap to make ( basically a plate with a small vibrator motor or speaker coil attached inside. ) But it still cost him and his business mates a lot to set up manufacturing. Then all the subsequent trials failed. The fact is, the mice was not just being lightly vibrated, but going through an earthquake simulator for 20 mins a day. And clinging on for dear life while repeating thousands of eccentric contraction. As in they were doing the most hardcore VT session ever trialed by any animal or human. How do I know this? ..., I was in contact with Clinton the whole time. And tried to warn him, but he just would not listen, and when I witnessed what he did ( cover it up ) and on top of that try to save his company by telling people every other machine made will harm you, only his was safe, I realized he had crossed a line of desperation you do not come back from. Note: 15 years later even though all the research shows his scare-tactic marketing was all lies, ( he knew the others were safe, as by then they had been used in medical work for years ) he refuses to retract it or admit he was wrong. ( or millions of people around the world over the last 20 years would be maimed or dead by now ) While he had to take down the claims of total body composition changes and once again showing his true colors ( it was never about actually helping people, but $$$ and ego ) , told the press NO machine can do it. And to make matters worse, I know HGH was given in one study to Woman but was not disclosed. How does this apply to you ? Just don't worry about turning the machine up or down, just worry about good form. Bone grows due to simple stress, and DO NOT just stand on it and think it will grow magically everywhere, you have to stress ALL the bones in your body. I know the above sound like a joke, but it is not, unfortunately the industry is full of stories just like it. Confusion and dodgy academics are a marketers dream. So they have tried in every way possible to dup the consumer. Why you take it seriously is because if you think you are helping yourself but doing nothing profound, you will not do the things needed to protect yourself. Eg.... Just standing on the machine will do nothing for your bone in your upper body ( only some very small areas in your hips, but not even in the place people fracture ) , and many deaths are caused each year by wrist fractures from falls ( blood clots or infections ). Follow this program as close as you can,( especially number 1 -- 5 ) and it will do what you need, in more ways than you can imagine. Note: Only the blue pictures and the aim is 1 minute of perfection on each exercise pose. The massages, do as much as you want. And use a couch to hold onto to help you . www.vibration-training-advice.com/consumer-guide-and-safety-program/lineal-and-pivotal-safety-programs/lineal-program Any questions, ask away. I will never BS you. How bone actually grows in very simple terms.... ( proper VT does all 3 simultaneously ) www.vibration-training-advice.com/consumer-guide-and-safety-program/articles-21---30/vibration-training-and-bone-density

Thanks for sharing more context. :) The LifePro Rumblex series has all three types of “vibration”: oscillation, linear, pulsation. This is the cheapest model in their rumblex series: amzn.to/4bZ7mg6 Many cheaper models (like their 3D) have only 2 types of vibration, which still works well, but it sounds like you want the full range! I have the most expensive LifePro Rumblex and I really like it but I think the cheaper Rumblex versions would work just as well. But if these Rumblex models are outside of your budget, I think you will still really enjoy one of the models with two motors. Hope this helps! x

You know...talking about the 1800s? Well in the 80s, there was this wooden Roller machine to use on your abdomen & your thighs that actually also had like a vibrating effect and Super helped my cellulite too.. very noticeably! Then soon after in the late 80s they had these Vibrating beds for different parts of your body in like a Salon type setting, that would cause extreme results in Body sculpting...I'm not kidding! Only thing is these beds were hydraulic and required maintenance to avoid shutting down. And subsequently they slowly all went out of business from the cost of the maintenance when they would break down! It was the same Concept. And I wish I could purchase one for home use!! They're soooo good🩷

What you are talking about is just vibration massage. Which if aggressive enough will break down fatty tissue and increase circulation. But it will not burn the fat off because it is not energy demanding on the body in any way, so it tends to just go somewhere else. A training platform is the exact opposite of those in every way, as in the exercise programs. Eg...www.vibration-training-advice.com/uploads/pdfs/Pivotal-Safe-Strength-Poster.pdf But the massages that can be done on the plates ( which depends on their shape ) is more like what you are describing. And only works well in combination with the actual exercise poses or you have the same re-settling issue. .
