I usually don't comment on videos but these tips are so goddamn helpful. Without these shorts from all kinds of youtubers but especially you, my striking wouldn't be 80 percent as good as it is now. I remember seeing a short of you explaining you should punch over a imaginary fence so you're not punching upwards which leaves you open for a counter. I implemented that in my shadowboxing a the difference is just so noticable. Thanks a lot Shane. I hope you understand you help a lot of us out. There are a lot of silence supporters out there just like me! You're the man!

I am just coming in highschool and i have pretty good endurance on pain , and i have very powerful punches , i made sure to first fully confirm what i am saying through a series of things , i wanna start boxing and well seeing your fast speed and shadow box , i realised that i want to work hard and learn to box , maybe i don't want to become a pro boxer but i want to learn and fight because it's just so fun , risking our lives in the ring and fighting fairly with hard work , is just amazing to me

For new strikers it's so much more important to make sure you aren't staying on center line after throwing strikes. 50 jabs in a row with no head and body movement could develop bad habits. Just something to keep in mind.

Awesome video and I totally agree. Jab is the most important punches. They work on both offense and defense and set ups. During the light sparring, my sparring partner noticed I haven't throw my cross for a couple rounds now or used my left hand at all. He was worried whether I was injured. I said I just conditioned my jab so much that I didn't feel the need to use my left for any follow-up yet.

90% of the folks would improve their jab when they start thinking that jab or any punch for that matter doesn’t end when it makes contact but when they get back into their guard after throwing them and all of these movements from throwing to getting back in to guard needs to be as fast and efficient as possible. Too often people train their punches until point of contact and forget about getting back to their guard and the fact that the opponent is also looking for opening just as they are

You know, I've survived (more than survived, but no one wins in a real fight. It made me sick sleepless and depressed days) being jumped in the street 3x inc 2 vs me, 3 vs me and 5 vs me, thanks to: first a survivor heart from a rough childhood, then hockey brawl experience, then martial arts training in TKD, Judo, and a lil Aikido (underrated. Nothing better footwork vs many attackers). HOWEVER, this dudes demeanor and happy upbeat but about getting to work energy and what I've learned from his vids makes me me keep coming back to learn more...and see how BOXING train could REALLY up my self-defense game! Added about 5 or 6 of his vids to my training routine so far. Well done!
