the more subjective he can keep it, the more he can blame you for losing setups instead of the system

Tiny gaps are not significant to the market as they are far less liquid. Huge gaps are more like LQ voids so they are far more likely to actually get filled which means when they inverse, it doesn’t necessarily indicate reversal. Educate yourself before you start looking for excuses.

The inversion happens minutes and usually quite a few candles after the original gap (which Dodgy is referring to) is created. There is no "mid-trade". You'll have found your ideal fair value gap with more than enough time to already be waiting for your entry candle to close above or below it to place your entry.
