i don't know for sure. but i heard a theory about feral predator (prey) and the onther ones. According to that theory they are from the same planet, but the one from prey lives on a isolated continent or something (which makes me wonder how can be they isolated when they are capable of travalling through space. but may be they were isolated from the start and only then learned how to be..smart, idk). So. that could be a very, verrrrry tiny explanation
