Think there’s a disconnect with the title and the actual video. The best off roaders vs craziest off roaders sold on cars/bids are two different things. Would want to see off roaders that we would actually want/more affordable personally but I appreciate the content

That bronco is one of the more successful looking 6x6 conversions I have seen. 84k was a bargain for someone. No way the builder has less than 250k in it.

I know they look badass, but 6 wheelers aren't actually that great of offroaders unless you're in wide open areas like dunes or swampy areas. The turning radius on them makes them a real pain. The Hummer is by far the best of this bunch considering the only real modification it has is the camper shell itself. Just think - you used to be able to walk into a dealership and get a vehicle that can ford 40" of water, climb walls, carry 3000lbs of people/gear/whatever, had 37" tires with dual beadlocking runflats, central tire inflation and geared hubs (portals for those who aren't familiar with what they're really called).

It’s funny to see the HummeRV pop up on here, I bought it off C&B (totally shocked I wasn’t outbid haha) and it’s currently sitting in my front yard. Unfortunately hasn’t been as reliable as I’d hoped it would be, though I’ve taken it on some fun trips.

I’m not really a fan of the wild 6x6 off road conversions. I just think they’re overdone and, quite frankly, stupid. They might look cool, but idk if I’d want to live with a 6x6 truck. That defender looks really nice though.

This video goes to prove that Kennan knows nothing about offroading and has never actually been offroad. No one would choose a 6x6 to go offroad. They are way too long to navigate a trail and don't actually help in the traction dept. Having 2 on this list is crazy. They are to flex on people about how much money you have. I'd also argue that a land rover should be left off the "best" offroader list because they are far too unreliable to take on any trip without a support vehicle.

I would argue "offroading" isn't solely going on trails. 6 wheels on the dunes would be pretty sweet, as proved by Hammond's G 63 6x6 test in the middle east.

No seller protections and very weak buyer pool. The winning bidder was allowed to back out of his bid for a minimal penalty, the second, third, and fourth highest bidders all declined to buy at their own bid prices. This leads me to believe the quality of the bidders is extremely poor, populated with keyboard warriors and not real buyers. Cars and bids has yet to come up adequate vetting or deposit mechanisms to protect everyone. They have offered to split the fee charged via credit card to the would be buyer, but they will only do so if the card charge is not challenged by the bidder. So hedging their bets instead of offering customer service. Finally, the success rate or sell-through rate is overstated as even though my deal did not go through, my car will still be shown as sold on their website because the auction ended with a bid in place. Not sure how often this occurs but very misleading and could confuse a future buyer if I try to sell again.
