It would be cool if they had the graphic on screen for their guests versus the actual market price. They could even do three categories, most expensive, most appreciated, and then coolest or most unique. That way it’s kind of best two out of three.

The problem with Cars&Bids is they decide what the reserve price on your car is so I'm going with eBay auctions for selling my 1986 Porsche 928S manual transmission.

Being in San Diego, how about who can find the most Mexican-plated, Mexican market-only cars? Exclude cars that are sold in the US, and maybe exclude cars that are basically rebadged like the Ford Lobo/F-150 or Nissan Rogue/X-Trail. But anything like Audi A3 hatchbacks, Nissan March, Honda BR-Z, Changan cars, etc. should count. Old cars that are still sold after they stopped being sold here (Nissan Tsuru, VW Old Beetle, Volkswagen Bora) could or could not depending on the rules you decide.

Great job Kennan. Thumbs up. Thank you for keying on seller honesty. I'm glad I bought on Cars & Bids, but I bought from the wrong seller--an unscrupulous dealer. I was a victim of the lack of honesty from a seller. I asked about an obvious dent on the driver's side door. The seller answered that "it looks like somebody hit it with their butt." I wound up buying the 4Runner and upon delivery, I found a very obvious bent and rusted B pillar. When I contacted the seller, I was told that nothing about any accidents was on the Carfax. What a loser. If I could see the rusted & bent B pillar, so could a car dealer. Conveniently, the photos taken by the seller just barely excluded this part of the vehicle. What a rat. I also found after purchasing the vehicle that there was about 1/4 of a broken rear window in the hollow of the rear hatch of the 4Runner. The vehicle had been hit from behind and not reported to Carfax. I found the broken glass in the hollow of the rear hatch because each time I closed the hatch I could hear something jostling around inside the hatch. And to make matters worse, the plastic vapor barrier which keeps the mechanism of the rear hatch dry, was removed and nowhere to be found. Another clue the truck had been hit from the rear. Please be careful when buying.

So Doug and now you have said not to drive the car during and auction. Yet you do videos driving cars that are being auctioned live. What precautions do you take when doing that?

As a German i'm jealous how easily you can find Dodge Vipers (Any Gen) in the USA. Over here in Germany, well in all of the 44 European Countries you're lucky to find maybe 4-5 Vipers of any kind for Sale on the biggest Online Car Market Website over here. Car Spotting idea: find the car with the lowest total production volume. Bonus points for identifying a specific model year based on certain characteristics to further narrow down total production.

Kennan, the car you want is a dirt-cheap vehicle just for your commute, thus saving needless wear on your BMW (or worrying about it getting up to temperature). Even a Nissan Leaf would be a good buy. Yes, it's a garbage car, but not if you're only using it for a short, daily commute in traffic. (And you'll appreciate an automatic in this instance.)

Fender wells. Wheel drum. Door, hood, and trunk/hatch jams. And of course under the hood. Washing, vacuuming, cleaning windows and upholstery is common sense.
