Regarding Dave, Michael: It’s my understanding that it’s not a “PC” thing. I think fans would be fine going to Foo Fighters concerts and would not care a bit about Dave’s infidelity. As I understand it, it was Dave’s decision to take the time to try to repair his marriage and regain the trust of his family. Having listened to copious amounts of interviews by Dave snd about Dave, as well as read his book, I truly believe he’s a really decent guy and cares deeply about his family. He f***ed up big time and I think he wants to try to repair the damage he did. I could be wrong. But I do think it’s his decision. Not a reaction to PC rubbish

I am unsure (of course) about the future of classic rock enthusiasm and influence among new generations, but not a day goes by when I am not amazed and incredibly thankful that I was fortunate enough to grow up in the '60s and '70s and experience firsthand in real time the stunning evolution of what we now call "classic rock". Stevie Nicks and Guns N' Roses are still relevant to the popular culture. That's why they're on the list. Younger people like Stevie's lyrics, voice and fashion sense. And they love Axl Rose and Slash. I agree with them being on this Top 10 list. Queen should be on the list. After that "Bohemian Rhapsody" biopic, they became as relevant to younger people as The Beatles. They could almost be #1. But, they don't make new music.

Who in the world comes up with these lists! 😮 I will say I’m very torn with The Stones. On one hand Hackney Diamond is a good freakin album, bringing back some of that Stones snarl attitude. On the other hand when Charlie Watts passed, I thought that should have been the end of them. All you got is 3 freakin stones left! I thought to myself “who are you guys…the freakin Eagles???” No…not that bad yet I suppose. As far as Paul…you have got to give that man all the credit in the world. He looks like he’s enjoying all he can at 82! He is everywhere! I just wish he WOULDN’T BE AT A Taylor Swift concert!! Really Paul?? I don’t care how big she is she couldn’t shine your capo! I honestly don’t know if it’s the bands at The Sphere that are setting such high ticket prices or whether it’s The Sphere itself trying to make a profit. As I understand it, they’re still in the red because those shows are expensive as hell to put on and the facility itself cost a bucketload. It could also be Ticketmaster, who has a monopoly and as far as I’m concerned are no better than scalpers or thieves.

Foo Fighters is the newest band on the list. They have been around for cirka 30 years. It is a bit sad that the new bands really don't stand a chance. How is Stevie Nicks a big impact in 2025? I don't mind her, Fleetwood Mac or her music at all but I rarely see anything about her. Meanwhile Roger Waters is constantly in the media, David Gilmour made a successful record recently and Pink Floyd is as big as ever. HOW is Stevie Nicks a bigger impact than Pink Floyd in 2025? I have no clue.

I have to admit now that I've reached the "get off my lawn" stage of life, my musical tastes remain frozen in the sixties and seventies...some eighties, but MTV helped a lot of mediocre artists become stars. Once the nineties hit, bands like Pearl Jam and Nirvana just didn't speak to me, as that was the decade of my 30's. Today's music, at least the little I have heard, seems to be nothing more than product. Disposable. Instantly forgettable. No musicians or bands anymore. Just performers and technology creating fake music...ok I'm done ranting, now turn that crap down and get off my lawn 😂😂😂

Well, I gotta say, Michael, for a “dead band”, Eagles put on a helluva show at The Sphere. The fans were ecstatic. The blend of voices was marvelous. Glenn Frey’s son, Deacon, is a great addition with a beautiful voice. It keeps it “in the family”, like Jason Bonham at Celebration Day or Nick Collins drumming for his dad. Vince Gill certainly is a “non-Eagle” but his voice and guitar skills are a perfect fit. The sound was seamless. I’m really glad I saw the show.

Hi Michael. A lot of work here. Fair enough. I have my beef with the current Eagles fakery and McCartney albums have much to be desired for me. ( for many years both artistically and creatively) his best years gone. Stevie Nicks- a has been. About the only one I can agree on is the Rolling Stones even though I don’t personally like mick. ( there’s good reason why Bill left ). I don’t see the rock of ages like it used to be. I think it is dying unfortunately. Deep purple are still alive today. A fringe crowd following perhaps nowadays. Well, that’s my take, Michael. It’s a bit of a tear down of your list but I think Paul’s attraction is his show nowadays not his album sales. As dear George H often said. “ cloth ears” I saw a clip from the London show just recently. Seems he has the vocal catastrophes rounded out now ( at the end of the bloody tour ) with the band taking up the slack. Pity the rest of the world had to put up with his ego and shit crackling voice ( terrible ) . Some people see through his ego and his lack of voice now. There’s no way I would ever pay for a poor performance. Goodbye Paully ( you stink ).

It’s time to understand that what we call classic rock is a genre that is not limited to bands and artists who were around in the 60’s and 70’s. Anyone with any sense will understand that bands like Dirty Honey, Rival Sons, Greta Van Fleet and Goodbye June are playing classic rock to ever growing multigenerational crowds. The artists may not sell in the millions, but they are keeping the genre alive. That’s cultural impact if you ask me! BTW, I would replace GNR with Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. Yeah bro, this list is a joke. Rock n rolls best days are NOT behind us. Dirty Honey may not sell out stadiums, but I don’t know of any orchestras doing it either. Rock n roll WAS pop music for many years. It’s not anymore, but that doesn’t make it any less culturally significant. On another note, the fact that Jack White and John Mayer aren’t on this list is dirt stupid too. I can’t think of any two rock artists right now doing more to keep this genre alive, and in Mayer’s case, he’s also carried the jam band genre with Dead and Company. And he’s lead the world in new guitar sales for a few years now! And Jack White………

I would put Deep Purple in there and also Robin Trower. Purple is still big in Europe and headline festivals there and even some in the States and they keep releasing albums. Unfortunately, they mis-managed their reunion after 1985, when they were one of the biggest bands anywhere. Maybe it is because they are still popular in Europe and don't tour here much, is the reason they're not on the list. Trower still tours and seems to draw pretty well. His history in Rock & Roll is up there with any artist. I don't care much for U2 these days and haven't for quite a while. They used to be excellent, but now, meh. Foo Fighters are good, but haven't done much lately and Dave is really kind of a boob, but it's OK, where they are. They're still more relevant than U2, these days, though. Other than Stevie and The Eagles, I have no other problems with this list, especially the Stones, Macca and Metallica. It is what it is, I guess.

Sir Paul is my #1 and I know this criteria is based on album and ticket sales but there's more to the culture influence than these two 'bottom line'. Yours and/or this insiders list I would agree with the top five, but the bottom end of this top ten especially Stevie Nicks is hard to take. The Eagles, pure shameful and I put that all on Don Henley, what a legacy or the lack of he's leaving the memory of this once great band(the original to me especially with the 'Desperado' album is fading 😢) Money will do that every time....💸🎸👀 But to me my bottom line is the culture influence more than album and ticket sales. And currently the only one who can't be touch not even by Sir Paul is not even a rocker. But currently culture, album and ticket sales you can't look any further(and don't cringe Michael) but you'll agree is a young lady named Taylor Swift. From her early country roots to the Pop Sensation she's become is simply mind blowing, but yes not a rocker in heart only. So I just had to add my two cents on Swifty, to me on any genre culture influence far surpasses album and ticket sales, with one exception; Led Zeppelin! Twenty Million Ticket request for a single 17,000 seat venue speaks volumes to culture influence and legacy. 🎸🎤🎸🥁

I decided to pick "72 Seasons" up cheap, and listened to it once. The new Metallica album blows. All the songs sound the same and have no definition between the tracks. I can understand why it was in the clearance bins.
