That won't happen until the next 5-6 years cause dark horse is releasing the 3 in 1s for gantz so If they release the Deluxe edition then their sales for 3 in 1 ( which is going a bit terrible ) will surely die and then these hardcovers will take place which will be a total loss for dark horse because if the 3 in 1 gets cancelled in between and Hardcovers get released, then there might be rumors that Gantz Hardcover might get oop in between too just like the 3 in ones. I don't think dark horse would like to take such a chance so there are really low chances that Gantz hardcovers are gonna come pretty soon... :(

Yes, I even contacted them through their site to see if they would release one any time soon. I don't think they will though considering the fat 3 in 1s are still being released. I might just stop buying the 3 in 1s and play the long game, wait for DH to eventually release them

I remember watching the trigun anime when I was on holidays when I was like 12. It was soooooo good at least from what I remember. I was recently looking at buying the series but I guess in Australia no one ever collected it coz I just couldn't find any reasonably priced or enough to fill out a full set. I know there’s a sequel or two that takes place in the same universe as I am a hero, maybe those stories would benefit the original ending!

Even though this video is around 2 years old and they still havent made any of these into Deluxe Hardcovers, I really do wish for dark horse manga to make I am a hero into Deluxe Hardcovers because the fact that whenever someone re-sells it on amazon it's always 37-150 dollars and the lowest always get sold within a couple of hours, it is almost impossible to find the first Omnibus for it at all, unless you get lucky and purchase it on amazon for pretty low or on another official website for books, sucks ass.

I've never read any Gantz, but it looks intriguing to me, and I would plan to collect it if/when Dark Horse publishes those Deluxe Hardcovers. Trigun would definitely be great in that format, too! These Deluxe editions have an ongoing theme of being more darker themed adult seinens. So hands down, Battle Royale would be my top pick. Very long overdue for a reprint, something everyone wants in their collection.

I had to buy the last volumes in German. volume 18 I found and bought from Japan in German!!! That’s how much I like the series! MPD another one!!! I write while watch you. Have the 11 volumes in English but ...I hope they do them all!!! Have most of the mangas but I will double dip like I do for Berserk to support the hc release and share my books with friends (that’s what I do when I upgrade).

I love Nightow's work. Personally, his current work, Kekkai Sensen/Blood Blockade Battlefront, would be my number one most wanted. I don't think it would ever happen though. Dark Horse never even finished printing the series, stopping at volume 10 (since it's an ongoing series, that means DH is now behind by 8 volumes with no plans to ever pick it back up). Like pretty much everything else you brought up, this is also an oop series.

Good list. Ever since Dark Horse did the deluxe edition books, it gave me the opportunity to finally get into a couple of series that I wanted to read. I love the 1997 Berserk anime, and I’ve been trying to find all the issues of Blade of the Immortal comics. If anything, I really want them to do one big complete edition of Masamune Shirow’s Appleseed. I have almost the entire series in comic book format, but I want to have it in a nice hardcover with non flipped pages. Astro Boy would be high on my list too.

I was pretty bummed and wearded out when I looked to buy Trigun online inside europe and nowhere seems to be anything, I was sure they would have made some hardcover edition but nothing (maybe I'm just overhyping it since it was first animes I really fell in love). I did order the first of the Hellsing deluxes, I kinda wanted to do Berserk but there is so many of those volumes that I would just go wild and I barely have any room anyway.

Well said. The main issue I face is when I have some volumes of a manga but struggle to find the remaining ones. I don’t mind if Dark Horse releases deluxe editions or hard copies, as long as I can eventually complete my favorite manga series. I'd love to collect the Gantz manga, but I haven't started yet because I want to ensure I can get the complete set first. At this point, I would be happy to obtain a box set, deluxe edition, or even an all-in-one volume like Death Note, which contains over 600 pages in one large manga."

My personal list I would like to see 1. Claymore- several of the volumes are out of print and if you want the box set they are extremely expensive 2. Trigun- a really popular series that fans love need I say more. 3. Goblin slayer- I'm being biased here but give this series another year or two and it will have a decent amount of source material (manga) not counting the light novels for any dark fantasy fans out there. 4. Black lagoon- love both the anime and manga of this show would really enjoy it in a hardcover edition 5. Kingdom- another great series that fans would appreciate

EDEN - It's an Endless World is a really great manga, despite some of its scenes being hard to read. The mangaka said that he wrote the story as a sort of response to Neon Genesis Evangelion and you can definitely see that. I'm glad that the series was finished in German.

They’re cancelled. Checking the listing for the fifth omnibus on Diamond yields a big red “CANCELLED” in the stock status line. I would recommend maybe reading I Am A Hero to the end digitally if possible because many people aren’t crazy about the ending.

Having my favorite series in a deluxe edition would be cool, but the paperbacks go out of printer usually because there isn't enough interest. If that's the reason they went out of print there is slim to no chance it will be released in a deluxe edition.

Well I’ll be that one db fan here lol I think dragon ball should get a hard cover too at least db-dragon ball z as the story is complete in those they could add super later on and MAYBE do a manga adaptation of GT if they feel bold

I know they did a color filled version of dbz but I didn’t like the quality of those versions they looked kinda cheap

I'm just over here hoping Dark Horse eventually does another release of Domu: A child's dream. OOP copies too expensive though. Heck, getting any Otomo hardcovers would be super dope!

I think it’s Kodansha who’s been working on a Otomo library and Domu was mentioned. I would imagine then something similar to Dark Horse’s Mœbius Library or the upcoming Jodorowsky Library from Humanoids- a series of collections containing most, if not all of the creators works.
