Even if the show IS good prices still usually go down once the show is out. This hysteria is idiotic. Speculators spend all their time buying every book that even has a hint of being a production and they end up spending money on all these books that become worthless. Then they hit one single book where they make money. As if that makes up for all the money they wasted on the books where they lost money. How people can be so idiotic I will never understand.

Damian Wayne isn't a bad character at all, even when Grant Morrison was writing Batman, but I really hope it's nothing like Grant Morrisons Batman run because it was I would say it was the worst Batman run! Why do filmmakers love to adapt Frank Miller and Grant Morrisons crap, but will never adapt anything from Denny O'Neil, Doug Moench, Gerry Conway, Steve Englehart, Alan Grant, and other writers who are far more talented than those two shmucks! I don't get it, I really, really, don't get it!

I see there was 50-60 sales on Ebay of Booster Gold 1 the past 24 hours. Creature Commandoes 1st appearance is very rare, only 58 recorded at CGC. I was shocked Lobo wasn't mentioned, he might be in the Superman movie though.

Batman 656 is a cameo of Damien. The characters only dialouge and full view appearance is the final panel which is a cameo at best. The character is not even named until issue 657. 656 is a hard argument for 1st full appearance. A 1st full appearance should have a bare minimum of two full views in story or one panel and the cover.

Interesting post. I've been primarily a Marvel Silver age reader/collector as that was the era I grew up in. Of all the books you've shown, the only books I have are the Legends books, though I only have one unslabbed set. Still, it's good to hear there is some upward valuation there. In the hardcover, it is stated that it is in fact Canon. In Batman 655-656, panels are shown in homage of Son of the Demon. This "alternate Universe" argument isn't legit....just based on written facts. There's no "Elseworld" imprints on those books either,

In son of the demon universe, Talia gets knocked up consensually,, the baby is given up for adoption and is never named. In the g. Morrison universe, batman was drugged and date raped and damian is grown as a test tube baby. Two vastly different scenarios to try and argue they are in the same universe especially with the adoption angle.

REALLY liked Gunn Suicide Squad and Peacemaker so I hope they somehow keep that in the loop despite old Justice League having a cameo. Green Lantern looks like to me to be the most expensive and as we do not know how long a season will be, I'd say maybe 4-6 episodes of GL for $100M. If it's more than 6, GL fans should prepare to be sad: CGI is key to GL and is very expensive. If they "Roger Corman" GL, or maybe better to say if they "Troma" GL, it will suck. They are moving far, far away from cheap-o CW DC TV-Series-and actors-gahhh, some of them really sucked in their roles._* *_DC should do better than the Marvel TV-series to stand out. They need to make the movies better than Marvel's and they need to draw more asses-in-seats, something that DC movies could have done better in the past._* *_With so many/all in GOG going to DC; I'm not sure that is the best idea, but Gunn is surrounding himself with those he knows well and friends. Once you go from Marvel to DC, can you go back?_* *_I'd say this is too much too soon. Superman is June 2025, that's only 2.5years away and it is confirmed they do not have a new Superman yet. I'm sure some DC fan will make infographs so everyone can follow how this will pan out._* *_The most surprising one is The Authority. Quite the wild-card. Will this be 1 movie or is there a plan for more in the future. This always comes down to Box Office. I think this is "too much" for the audience, how will The Authority connect to the rest? I guess it won't. Sure, I would love a $200M The Authority movie(+$100M+ in PR), but that means it needs to make AT MINIMUM $600M at the Box Office just to break even; and going fourth ALL of DC TV-Series and Movies are to make a profit. This is the greatest risk Gunn et Co are taking. Are they gunna make a The Authority movie with 3-4 actors or full team?_*

I only FOMO bought one thing because the announcement. I had only gotten of the later 3 issues of Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow, and I ran to eBay and an online seller to fill out the other 5 issues before they disappeared. I love the artist, and I just hadn't gotten back around to filling out the series. I didn't pay much more for any of it, since I bought early in the day. But at this point, I'm not buying any of these books until the dust settles. Most of the books I remain okay not owning anyway.

I would love to know why Batman 655 goes for more than 656 when all we see in 655 is Damian’s eyes on the final page. If Hulk 181 is the Wolverine book to have, Batman 656 should be the Damian book.

Generally comes down to ignorance of people who never read the comic. 655 is a cameo with the character in shadow the entire issue. Even by the normal 1st full appearance standards, issue 656 should be considered a cameo as well. Damians only dialouge and in full view on the final panel. Also the character is not named until 657.

House Of Secrets #92 came out in 1971 so Swamp Thing is over half a century old, and the character has had seven series/miniseries in that time: there's a lot of material to work with there. As long as the movie creators recognise Swampy's essential elements - the horror and the pathos - and translate them successfully to the screen, then I'll be happy as he is one of my favourite DC characters. The Authority: fantastic series, looks like Gunn knows quality when he reads it. Warren Ellis is a very imaginative writer who can translate his ideas effectively to the comics medium, and it doesn't hurt that he teamed with artists like Bryan Hitch, Paul Neary and Frank Quitely. Prices are rising on Ebay Australia too (admittedly a minnow compared to the whale that is Ebay USA) for raw examples of these comics.
