Replacement strategy works. By force. Replace salt for sugar cravings. Ultimately salt has 0 cals and provides the same snack fix. Just eliminating sugar completely is still the best and arguably easiest way to maintain health and fitness readiness.

Back in the day, my grandmother used to tell us to "chew every bite 33 times before swallowing". Previous generations knew something, I now realize; good to know I can now re-introduce Nana's theory, just adding seven more chews per bite😂Way to go, Nana! Thank you, Thomas, for a fascinating video.

I have figured out when I have unbearable sugar cravings after omad, if I wait several hours the sugar cravings turn into salt cravings! Great information. I go into anaphylaxis after every meal. Now I will drink salt water and see if sugar cravings go away! Very interesting.

Extremely interesting Video - I just returned from my holiday in Italy and thought the heat was the reason that I only ate breakfast and dinner without feeling the need for lunch in between. But I was probably wrong - my daily breakfast consisted of a large amount of scrambled eggs with oats, walnuts, ricotta, milk and fruit on the side. I always added additional salt to the eggs and never was hungry until dinner.

It's funny - as a kid I'd try to get my mother to give me a fried egg for breakfast, because I noticed that I felt awake during morning classes at school, and by lunch break, I still didn't have hunger pangs. Sometimes I'd get my egg (with salt), but usually it was cornflakes (tired in morning classes, ravenous by lunch-time). I'm finally learning why that was...

HUNGER and CRAVINGS are 2 completely different thigs. Cravings increase dramatically during stress, but also when you need a full "dopamine release" - imagine you are relaxing in the evening, watching some good movie with friends/family, you will must have to eat a pizza or ice cream etc otherwise you won't get a full enjoyment - this is why it is important to eat healthy food but that is also delicious - and YES, it will never be as good as the garbage that we are all addicted to, but good enough to decrease the cravings significantly

Here are the key takeaways from Thomas DeLauer's video "These Foods Rewire the Brain for Fat Loss & Appetite Reduction": 1. **High-Protein Foods (Eggs and Beef)**: - Consuming high-protein breakfasts increases satiety and reduces hunger throughout the day. - High-protein intake can lead to eating less at subsequent meals. - MRI scans show that high-protein foods decrease activation in brain regions associated with impulse control, helping to reduce overeating. 2. **Salt**: - Adequate salt intake is crucial for managing hunger and preventing misinterpreted cravings for sweets. - NST neurons in the brain trigger salt cravings when sodium levels are low. - Consuming electrolytes or salty snacks can help maintain proper sodium levels and reduce unnecessary snacking. 3. **Walnuts**: - Consuming 48 grams of walnuts daily increases satiety and improves food choices. - Walnuts enhance activation in brain regions associated with impulse control, aiding in better decision-making and reduced impulsive eating. 4. **Almonds and Mastication**: - Chewing almonds thoroughly (40 times) significantly enhances satiety compared to chewing fewer times. - Increased mastication of almonds boosts levels of GLP-1, a hormone that promotes feeling full. By incorporating these foods and habits into your diet, you can potentially improve impulse control, reduce appetite, and support fat loss.

People should not have more than one teaspoon of salt per day, including that which is already in their foods. Except for endurance athletes exercising in the heat and sweating profusely there is no need to "supplement"with salt. To recommend that is extremely irresponsible, and it is risking your viewers health to do so without mentioning that caveat.

Love your content but for me the side angle camera is distracting. I understand it but it feels like the timing is too long or something. Not sure but I found that it took away from the actual content cause I was asking myself why are we looking at the side of your face. #ADHD

Semaglutide, which is the actual name for Ozempic, reduces your appetite in an unpleasant way. You no longer relish your vittles; if you consume a bite or so too many, you could feel nauseous or even vomit. I took it for close to 4 months and it was an unpleasant experience in many ways. I was overjoyed to watch my belly shrink, but the itchy rashes and the feeling of weakness finished me. Lost 12 pounds; gained it all back and 4 more pounds. Carnivore made the extra 4 pounds go away, but I couldn’t keep it up. I am now on a low-carb diet that includes meat, dairy, eggs, butter, tallow, and small amounts of fruit. It also includes walnuts maybe 5 days/wk. Despite reducing my meals to 2MAD, with one 24-hr fast per week, ended with OMAD (plan based on one by Ben Azadi), my weight seems to have plateaued. However, my life recently has included so many events that have derailed the eating window (supposed to be 6 hrs-typically more like 8). Perhaps if I could get my schedule adapted to the fasting regimen…..

@@margomoore4527 That's quite a lot that you've been through! I have been in Keto for 4 years and it's worked very well along with a 6 hour eating window every day and following Bryan Johnson's Blueprint list of supplements. Have you tried Mounjaro/Zepbound/Tirzepatide to see if it gives you the same bad side effects? There are new GLP-1s in the works that may be even more promising. In the past, the concept of taking a pill to lose weight seemed fraudulent yet now we're seeing the incredible advancement of medicine.
