these Mods are totally legit and indeed fun to use when you already have a dead god and aren't playing for completion marks. in this case it is only for the content, it is to avoid that a good run ends with the mother or you have to play 50/50 with the portal after mega Satan

12:03 my personal take is that "Continue past Mother" is 100% an acceptable mod, since I feel like you should be able to get to another mark from Mother without using R Key or exit exploit shenanigans, and "Always Void" is fine since a required mark shouldn't be locked behind RNG or playing really fast and risking losing to a hard boss.

I think the guaranteed void mod is ethical since it just increases the chance of something already possible but not the runs past mother mod because it's not intended to get a mother and another unlock in the same run without an R key. (Edit: Unless the void chance is seeded in which cas I would say it's unethical because that specific run wasn't supposed to void.)

Why would it being seeded make a difference? It's still a 50% chance for a seed to spawn the portal and that coin flip is entirely unnecessary

In the latter case, he guaranteed void mod would cause something that isn't supposed to be possible (that is, reaching the void with items of a no void seed).

I don't think I can give opinions on mods because I use the "perfect start" mod 💀💀 I start using it for the lost cause I had to restart too many times because of treasure+boss item useless to him, it was getting too boring and time consuming, but then I start to liking the mod too much lol I'm the type of player that if I get a slow start I get bored, I hate when it takes 10 min to pass the first 2 floors. Context: the mod force the first tresure room item to be q3 or more. This work in the first treasure room that u enter, so if you skip one or more for planetarium you still get the mod upgrade.

I like the "Build continues past Mother" mod. I'm not using yet myself -mostly because I have yet to achieve Dead God- but I can absolutely respect those who do. Mother is difficult enough, so having your run continue past that already means that, hey... you survived. I don't understand why you'd have to have an exit card _and_ a Sacrifice Room if you wanted the run to keep going a lil' longer. And a full run Mother/Mega Stan/Delirium is always nice for me. On another topic... The double Stopwatch slowing music to an extreme level during Corpse felt somewhat very "in character" for Red, like I was almost expecting the rooms to turn more and more red - even without using his key - and fall into actual creepypasta territory. The fact it all began by blowing open the door to Mom's Heart - something that, in and of itself, isn't supposed to happen - really sold the piece to me. -Also also, hiding a secret message saying there is no secret message is still hiding a secret message... even if there is no actual message nor actual secret. Ya dig?-

A lot of people shit on the red secret pool since it's bloated with useless items, but tbh, red secret rooms are way better than pwhat people think. I know, there is stuff like kidney bean and other shitty items, but there are also some of the most OP items in that pool: brimstone sacred heart haemolacria D6 flip Magic mushroom But even then, if you still don't get those super good items, you still can get some good stuff like eye of the occult or lord of the pit. Even just health ups help, since they are free and finding red secret rooms become easy with time and practice
