@@Popentasew either way it takes the "monster" out of duel monster. Not to say we shouldn't have them at all but it's almost being pushed by konami. Vampire and evil eye for example are much better looking female archetypes. Mystical elf magician of faith etc. These cards kept the idea of a monster world in mind. From the recent ones dogmaticia has nice female design and so does apollousa. Compared to all those these are meh.

The artwork is great obviously.... I just wish that they were more "punk like" in aesthetic like having bright neon colours with a punk rock type aesthetic is literally everything that I could've wanted out of art design in yugioh. Like there's those questions from recent vids like "what if konami made cards based on hip hop or any particular genre of music" and shit like that. For me all I want is some kickass punk rockers with shocking neon colouring. These are pretty good though.

I think the Spells are perfectly suitable. They’re clearly meant to be deterrents to discourage your opponent from making plays against you since destroying them means extra protection for you and trying to target your PUNKS is going to cost them. It’s implicit protection.

the deck was actually good tho but the what make the spell card so bad is the condition to activate if they change to simply "when your opponnet activate a card effect" it would pretty much become way more useful and will be very op tho, they could also give you a choice if you want to destroy the spell in order to activate the other effect by yourself you know for more option in the duel

They absolutely do, my favourite example of them doing this is with phantom rage. Tribrigade were brilliant as a stand-alone deck, virtual worlds were fantastic, and then you look at decks like dual avatar and myutants that debuted in the same set as these 2 trend setting decks. I’m lucky enough to have all 4 decks (got lucky on my pulls after being nearly a case of PR). Myutants have been that bad and inconsistent that nobody plays them and in over a year they’ve only just gotten a new support card that’s in the upcoming set, Duel avatar are absolute garbage and have had next to no support whatsoever. These two decks were just created and thrown in as filler for a massive set just to boost the sales on boxes, especially myutants being TCG exclusive at the time. Tribrigade are no longer viable as a stand-alone deck and are now just a small splashable engine in lyrilusc, the only deck still making waves in the meta scene are virtual worlds because of the boards they can throw out turn for turn but they are slowly being phased out by newer decks. BODE did the same, swordsoul and flowandereeze have been meta defining, but I couldn’t tell you about any of the other cards or archetypes from the sets because they are already dead and out of play. Compare these two powerhouse sets to one like ancient guardians, which released ogdoadic where people believed they would be broken because of pairing their effects with snake rain and they ended up being garbage along with the other 2 decks that came out at the side of it. It’s just filler content. It doesn’t help with the fact that even crap archetypes have one or two cards that 3rd-party sellers seem to think they can make a high price on despite the archetype being rubbish. The 3 ogdoadic boss monsters (king, queen, and overlord) are still over £120 for a play set (in the UK) and is not budget friendly whatsoever. Side note: if you want an archetype (EX swordsoul, flowandereeze) buying singles is the way to go. Even though it may seem like it costs more for a play set of certain cards than it is for a box, the pull ratios in boxes these days and the way Konami go about rarity means that it would cost you nearly 4X as much money to buy boxes to find the cards you want than to actually just straight up buy them as singles. I play swordsoul, I bought 5 boxes of BODE, and pulled only a quarter of the core (no DPE pull or anything of worth from my boxes), after funnelling more of my money And trades I managed to get the core and ended up wasting nearly £400 and a few of my high rarity trades. Another player at my locals just bought singles, he spent £170 less for his full core, a DPE package and a play set of small world. Same again with the 2021 mega tin, a guy sank £600 in to buying them, pulled 4 crossout designator and 2 triple tactics. Another guy bought singles, and got all the same cards, for £200. Sorry for the long post, just a passionate long time player and I like to help if I can in any way 😁

Well, as I both enjoy Yugioh and VTubers as a whole, Evil☆Twin is literally the Godsend for me. The concept of VTubers during the day, and Phantom Thiefs at night is just so cool and genius! No. They're all based on forms of Japanese art. Ukiyo-e (wood block painting), Noh (a type of theater involving masks), Joururi (puppet plays), and Gagaku (Imperial court music). The artstyle itself is emulating ukiyo-e in a neon future punk style. Look up The Great Wave in image search and you'll see the similarities. And even if it was Chinese-y in theme, the way it's spelled on the card is Seamin (say-a-mean), not Shemin. Japanese is phonetic, unlike English.

The problem is we have SO MANY cards that are non-destructive removal and are being played heavily cause of decks like Eldlich and knowing that these exist would only incentivize players to keep using them. Those would need to lose thought out of their heads in order for popping to ever matter, and Konami is not going to stop making more cause power-creep is a f*cker.
