A California sheriff’s deputy and his wife staged a video in which he “pulled her over” for driving in the carpool lane by herself. That’s when she reveals that she isn’t alone in the car because she’s pregnant. A military wife hid her pregnancy for months so she could surprise her husband when he came home from active duty. I found out I was pregnant 2 days before mother's day. We gave our mothers coffee mugs that said "celebrate grandma" on them. His mother, who didn't have any grandkids yet, got it right away. My mom looked at it and said, "oh that's nice". It took her a minute to realize the gift was from me and I didn't have kids yet.

I was in the Navy and that was every single sailor's worst nightmare was the reuniting day everybody's getting off the boat and your wife's the pregnant one I knew an ensign in the Navy you came off the boat his wife was pregnant he drew his sidearm and shot her right in the head right there on the pier it happens every deployment some say as many as 30% of the wives would end up pregnant while the husbands were away

In early 1942 my grandfather, who was a 26 year old mechanic in a coal mine in southern Illinois joined the Marine Corps. He never saw any combat during the war but he came close. He was stationed at New Caledonia and because he was a bit older than most of his fellow recruits he advanced very quickly. Some time around October of 1943 he was rewarded with a special mission. He was sent to San Diego to hand deliver classified documents to headquarters. Once the delivery was made he was granted 24 hours leave before he had to return to New Caledonia. My dad showed up 9 months later. They had been trying for 7 years. After the war they wanted my dad to have a sibling, but it wasn't until another 7 years went by, and Grandpa had been recalled for Korea that my aunt was born. They joked that it took an act of Congress to get my grandmother pregnant.
