We have been listening, learning and speaking English right from nursery level. So pronunciation isn't a problem, nor fluency. However, certain small grammatical errors do occur (sparingly though) like use of incorrect prepositions or expressing oneself in longer sentences than short and crisp ones; as brevity is the essence. Thanks so much for taking your time and teaching us. Great.

As a speaker of the devoiced language I would add: devoicing of the last consonant, so BAD becomes BAT, BED --> BET, BLOG --> BLOCK, BAG --> BACK; (to) CLOSE (v.) --> CLOSE (adj.), LAV --> LAUGH; CALVE --> CALF; PUB --> PUP etc.

Tu pronunciación es muy clara, que mucho ayuda para aprender el idioma Inglés. Siempre he dicho que para que uno pueda enseñar su propio idioma a personas de otros idiomas, uno debe de ponerse del lado de la persona que está aprendiendo un nuevo idioma y veo que tú estás aprendiendo el español, por eso que tú si puedes comprender lo que nosotros como estudiantes tenemos que lidiar con algunos problemas que se presentan para aprender un nuevo idioma. Saludos desde Perú

Especially how to write an academic essay( university) , pronunciation and advanced vocabulary. The biggest problems in English Language are pronouns , verbs and prepositions. I struggled lots on prepositions, irregular verbs and pronouns; I am ok now... Luanda Angola , Kinshasa Congo and Ancaster Ontario Canada

Thank you so much. I used to think that putting -s at the end of the verb when the subject is third singular person is not that important. Because "-s" means nothing! But I was wrong... @balordupardabon25124 жыл бұрын
Hi Emma. I find your videos enjoyable and helpful. Congratulations. I'm learning a lot from you. Thanks indeed. As italian, i wanted to say one thing about the mistake number four you're talking about. Actually i'm italian, from North of Italy; the mistake number four actually i believe that more probably occurs with some people form South of Italy , because in southern Italy's dialects, generally they don't pronounce the consonants at the end in the most of cases ; in dialects form North of Italy , instead, we have plenty of words ending with consonants, so we are quite used to pronounce the consonants at the ending. By saying this i don't mean that we in the North of Italya are better than people from South at learning languages , because from many other aspects they're better than us. Some people from South of Italy , anyway, can have the tendency also to double consonants and make them followed by a vocal (so, "stop" can become"stoppe" pronounced by some people form South of Italy) and sometimes this happens to people from South of Italy while dealing with italian words too, especially among people strongly influenced by southern Italy's dialectal pronounciation. In northern Italy we generally don't make this kind of mistake , even if we also do make many other mistakes honestly.. :-), because, as you said, there are many english phonems that don't exist in italian and i can say that don't exist in any italian dialect as well ( i'm thinking, instead, about how many grammar miskakes i' ve made till now by talking about italian dialcect's pronouncioation lol ) . I think i'll ask you one day to give me some classes in case you give online classes too and, anyway, congratulations for your great job. Cheers. Vladi

Idea for a new video: Take a foreigner from a big non-english speaking country and help him/her to reduce their accent.
