you mention psyker not having a good way to deal with heavies at the start and while it's not killing them as fast the force sword's stab heavy will drop every biggun and mauler besides bulwark onto their ass regardless of where you hit them. Fantastic on the Deimos MKIV's light 1 into heavy 2

The voidstrike/surge/crit build should definitely consider making use of disrupt destiny instead of warp siphon if you REALLY want to obliterate a line of enemies

Loving your content! Im looking into the gun psyker and hybrid builds you posted. What's your thought on the choice of lasgun and not the colombus autogun? Is it better synergy or is it a doable swap?

The lasgun gets a ton of added damage from the crits, because of the burns. Psyker has a really high crit so he takes full advantage of that. Infantry autoguns are also really only effective at closer ranges, the recon can deal the same damage across the map.

I like the first build it's fairly similar to what I landed on, I absolutely value empathic evasion over kinetic flayer mind you, having near immunity to ranged attacks feels more valuable on auric than not needing to finish off a crusher with my deimos now and then.

I've been loving scriers and flame staff while having warp charges. You are encouraged to stay in the crazy zone all the time

For your peril scaling skills they cap at 80% peril so being at 100% peril isnt providing you more critical chance from warp nexus.

There is a strange animation change having surge on the lightning staff. When you crit with the lightning; it throws out a cast from your hand and the tip of the staff, but it doesn't give extra damage. As you said it only applies to the primary attack on the staff for doubling the projectile. Prehaps they didn't calc in the extra damage for it?

Nice builds to consider! I just got my Psyker to 30 and was looking at other options outside the Smite build I had been running up that grind. Quick question regarding the Recon Las for the Gun Psyker build. Does it matter the Mark on that for it? I imagine using the XII for its higher volume of fire would be better, but would a VIc also work it?

Damn, Surge blessing really doesn't proc 2 attacks with the secondary?! What's the point?! I've been looking forward to that since I saw the blessing previews, but more it's worthless (to me). Hopefully it's just a bug and they change it. Also, as a gunpsyker who uses the Zarona revolver since beta, it's crazy to see gunpsykers who don't use it! I do have a nearly god roll VId Recon on my psyker, I've just never bothered to use it. I can't play until Sunday so I just have a lot of time for theorycrafting.

I really really like the 4th build, and I'm not even 30 yet (almost there, 24-ish). It's so fun, Assail is my kind of power fantasy, the bubble is a clutch maker, the Las gun is just pure joy to use. I love it ! I'm wondering if I should use the slower firing variant of it tho, could it be more ammo efficient ?

I read online that Quell speed scales better than Warp resistance, so it's better to dump warp resistance, when should you pick one or the other?

I copied the first build exactly and I am getting way less damage. Like you killed the big guy in 2 or 3 hits. I still have to shoot like 10. Am I missing something?

These are interesting... I like how you try to implement some newer talents. I fear that mimicking the old builds with some minor changes to pathing still is more optimal. The meta gunpsyker and critstrike builds both are just better than they were before with little to no changes. It's kinda absurd tbh.

Most of these builds are just the old meta, the new talents like reduced peril and -peril on crit just make these builds flat better. But i like the idea of having at least one new talent or blessing in each build, it doesnt hurt that most of the new stuff is super strong.

@@MisterEtide I think you're overestimating the effectiveness of some of these - I also don't know how tight to the "meta" these are outside of the weapons used. Keystone pick for each could maybe be argued (except gunpsyker obv). I'm unsure if this is accurate, but I'm fairly certain the toughness regeneration on souldrinker is tied to the 5s internal CD - I think it makes it unfavorable two invest two points to get to.

Lightning staff has really good util but you could just skip the perk that adds damage to enemies affected by warp lightning

I like how it only cost Ordo Dockets now to change blessings and perks on weapons. I somehow have a dueling sword with all 80's and 61 cleave. the new build doesn't add up more often than not you get less stats.
