I said this because Elliot is demonstrating a much greater willingness to violate Zoe’s boundaries in order to sleep with her. The stuff Elliot does for the women in his life isn’t out of genuine care for them, it’s because he thinks he’ll be rewarded with romantic relationships and sex. And the fact he’s willing to team up with a stupid predator to take down a more competent predator shows his true colors. Plus he implied that he might unironically want to murder Zed with that whole “let’s make him disappear” comment. (I know it’s not totally uncommon for teenagers to want to exact extreme measures of “justice” on bad people and that a lot of them grow out of this mindset, but not all of them do). I mean, not long ago Elliot was helping Zoe break up with Brian. On the topic of incel ideology being dangerous, I’ll expand on Elliot Rodger. He killed six people and injured fourteen other people on the USBC campus in 2014 specifically because women refused to sleep with him despite being the “supreme gentleman”. He tried to shoot up a sorority house to exact his revenge, and even though he couldn’t get inside he still caused a lot of damage. And this isn’t the only example of mass violence that can result from incel ideology if taken to its most extreme conclusion. If you’re looking for a more in depth discussion on why this ideology isn’t just cringe, I would recommend Contrapoints’ video, Incels, on the topic.
