I remember a BMW recall on those spoked wheels in the mid 90's. There was a clear protective coating on the rim which was peeling off and causing tarnish. I never had a problem with mine and really appreciated them.

Daggum Snap On tool guy won't give Smoak a 2022 mini calendar for his toolbox. I got to go get my second Shingles shoot, that first one felt like the needle was 1/8" thick, it hurt.. Purdy fancy tools towards the end of the vlog. Good stuff Smoak's!

That old calendar is from a Spyder customer and friend that ran into health issues. That was the last year of his retirement business and riding... I should have mentioned that in the video, sorry. No one seems to have those mini calendars anymore, sadly. Kinda like clocks on wall, they're all but gone now with all the smart phones and smart watches these days. Thanks Gus!! 👍

Gotta vacum out the foot well in the war wagon. Hell looks like you could grow cabages in there.

You and your tools! Lol! If you ever need anything, Smoak's got it. But he probably has four of them and doesn't even know it! Lol! I'm surprised you do the spoked wheels horizontally. I always thought they were done vertically in a jig that keeps the rim centered around the hub. Peace and love.

Due to the reversed spokes, this is easier and the way BMW wants them done. It's pretty straight forward, but crazy time consuming. Thanks TJ!! 👍

Try spraying the oil in to the aerosol cap then get a syringe and suck a teaspoon of it up and then you can add a drop or three where ever you want.

10 yr old can of penatrant. I live in the rust belt. We go through cases of that stuff. If that doesn't work bring out the torches.

I like the clock thermometer you have especially with the tenths of a degree. Some reason I like to know the time and temperature at a glance.

The spoke arrangement is pretty interesting. About as backwards as it gets from 'conventional' with spokes terminating in the center of the rim, and being adjusted from he rim side instead of the hub.

Hey Guys always love your content and thanks for sharing your calming content and loving smiles for one another. Shaun just a quick question I have a 1250gs (non Adventure) rear gold spoke wheel, when on a center stand and spun in first has a serious wobble left to right and up and down . Can't really feel it when riding but should I look at getting it trued and is that a big job?

I owned 4 BMW bikes with Spoke Wheels. They were all brand new purchases. Every single one of them leaked air at least 1 psi per week. Extremely frustrating!

hello how do they make spoked wheels in factory is made by hand or robot computer 💻
@TheSmoaksVlogs2 жыл бұрын
I hear it’s a robot that does the tuning, or maybe the whole thing? That’s how this spoke recall come about, there was a robot glitch… Thanks Dale!! 👍
