Just so you can appreciate this car's speed: A 997 GT3RS goes around Big Willow in 1:33. This car did it in 1:32. So it's quicker than an RS.
@Karim2clean7 жыл бұрын
After 30k dollars in mods lol. You can't compare stock to modified.
@VirusTornado7 жыл бұрын
Yes you can in this case. Did you even watch the video? His baseline was the regular 911 GT3. So this is to give you perspective that he beat his goal.
@iDrive4fun937 жыл бұрын
Karim nassef that's true if it was a stock s2k vs this. But it's still cheaper to buy and build this than buy a GT3 RS straight up. So you can actually compare them, especially because the GT3, although stock, is built with parts far superior compared to the parts found in a normal 911. It already has forged internals and aggressive tuning. What he did with this is basically what Porsche did to the 911 to make the GT3.

"I saved a bit of cash to put into my car" In Europe, it translates into : "I saved $2000, so I bought a full exhaust and a bigger intercooler for my Megane RS" In the US, it's more like : "I saved around a hundred grand, so I turned my flee into a Porsche GT3 RS muncher"
@knucklessg17 жыл бұрын
He did say he sold his other one to create a company. He might be making some good money right about now.
@lonewolf35647 жыл бұрын
his supercharger costs around $4-5k new, so not a hundred grand. why is it that people who don't know how to wrench on cars and who know nothing about modding/racing always have the most to say. I've got a 2006 S2000 with 40k miles, bought it for $14.5K, built the whole motor myself and threw on FI and it's around 500 hp and a daily driver that swallows Porche's, Vette's, M3's, etc. and it cost me roughly $5-6K in mods. Hundred grand my ass.
@French20cent7 жыл бұрын

@JonP_4-31inf7 жыл бұрын
Atul Lall well 100k is a lot closer of a guess then your 5k you dumbass. He says right in the beginning after he bought the car he threw 30k at it right away.... that's 30k right away! plus 14.5k for the car as you said... then 6k for the paint job... 8k for wheels and tires... so 60k minimum and these are just facts. Now you can go back to bragging about how you change oil for a living and how the 99 Civic you did a tire rotation on and straightened it's chassis from hitting a curb is a race car.

The owner is mostly correct about the AP2 vs. AP1. Broader torque curve but lower redline, changed suspension geometry to be sharper and more controllable, and generally they are the engine that seems to smoke less in high mileage examples compared to the AP1's 2.0. Both are awesome cars but people seem to sometimes overlook the fact that there are changes from AP1 to AP2 aside from engines. Great Vid tho!

Matt, 1st off I'm not picking on you here. But an Idea for you if your looking for something new for your channel. You can add a field to your reviews easy. Call it what you may, but I can always tell when your in a GREAT build from your reactions & I'd call it something like the giggle level. After all whenever your doing a review & you find one that's truly all there I've noticed you get this giddy schoolboy giggle along the drive. Honestly, it's how I know your truly impressed & having fun with it & that speaks volumes when you start having that kid in a candy store reaction behind the wheel. Like I started with, I'm FAR frm picking on you. After all its truly its no different then anything I'd do. But really telling as for when you've found something special!

THIS is a car that Honda needs to bring back. Perhaps just a little bit bigger for larger folks, and with more HP of course! Hell, I'd be happy with ~300 hp for my occasional backroad bashing (that is plenty of power to get yourself in trouble between the corners). I came close to selling my FD and buying one a few times. The Honda is a pretty tight fit compared to my FD and considering I'm the original owner of it, I'd have a hard time selling it. I love it! However, I really miss having a ragtop.
