I never thought I would watch and listen to an entire video of 25 minutes and 08 seconds but the way you talked about anxiety and went into detail it was all really informative and helpful. I will come back to this video from time to time to re-watch it and to help myself over come this long-term suffering of anxiety.

It was good that you went into the details of your upbringing and its effect on your anxiety. My + my parents' childhood has a lot of crossover with yours and it was a huge part of my healing journey to learn the term "Complex PTSD." Anxiety is a spectrum of symptoms with causes that includes everything from a kid with a healthy upbringing being bullied a few times in school and feeling insecure to big-T trauma like your family backstory. Both can result in anxiety but one is way stickier than the other. C-PTSD really encapsulates all of that in a way that was like a divine lightning bolt for me as even learning about social anxiety didn't really explain why I felt so broken and self-sabotaging constantly. Especially when I'd already spent a decade on my healing journey treading water with all of this "social anxiety" stuff. But to learn "oh. OH. I have childhood TRAUMA, not just anxiety. I have deep relational wounds that re-wired my brain in childhood." That was huge.

After seeing your previous video on this I started working on my sleep, I already do strength training 3x a week but I don't do cardio so I also started speedwalking instead of just walking and leaving the bus a station or two early. Changing my diet is definitely the key problem, not just because I don't have an idea how but because I don't really see the point, when I ate healthy I gained less muscle than when I ate whatever, and I also eat emotionally

If you're eating the right amount of protein, are in a caloric excess, have your macronutrients dialled in and are training and recovering properly, it's almost scientifically impossible not to build muscle. I would also focus on eating clean to feel good rather than purely focusing on whether you build muscle or not. Rubbish in = rubbish out.

Can you show us how to do abdominal breathing maybe some tips, thank you!
@TheSocialAnxietyCoach2 ай бұрын
I will try to do more videos on breathing, especially abdominal breathing, as it's so crucial. There is a video on alternate nostril breathing on the channel already to check out as well.

I am planning an mdma trip. I want my relative to be my guide and pseudotherapist. I hope I'll cure my problem

Good luck. Having taken 100s of doses of MDMA, I don't feel those kinds of interventions go far enough, but they can certainly be beneficial. Keep me posted, I'd be interested to hear how it goes.

I've done about a dozen, guided and solo. Definitely helped me identify the causes and the habits I was engaging in that are maintaining my anxiety. Occasional temporary relief, especially that very first time - but no permanent cure.
