It is understood that the Spectator has a non confrontational interview manner. Letting guests make outright falsehoods is a little far. Tara Palmeri, stated that H.R. McMaster got Trump to authorise weapons by just slipping it through for signature. McMaster made it clear in his book that he was opposed to people trying to push through their agendas. He offered the President options and then assisted Trump to achieve Trump's aims. As for The Muslim Ban: A short list of countries, one of which has zero Muslims and the most populous Muslim country in the world was not on that list. That the vast majority of that list were Muslim majority countries might draw unwelcome attention to how troubled Muslim majority countries are.

Good analysis. Trump will be the least statesman like, diplomatically mature administration since the last Trump administration. Which is presumably what people like about him. But he will burn through people, sewing division and chaos, and consequently will struggle to deliver anything, consistently. I'm willing to bet the deficit will only go up, despite Trump's predictable claim that the economy is the best ever, and nobody has ever seen such a strong economy etc
