Galactic conquest and space battles...omg, galactic conquest and space battles. Im 29 and get to play this with my son after explaining what the new games were missing (while still enjoying them). How they couldn't do on a PS4 what was done on PS2 still blows my mind, but I'm so happy I get to share this with him.

You needed to have a xbox live subscription for it from what i cnlan gather. Played it on the ps2 so i am just happy the dlc is included now to finally play

They may have just awakened a sleeping giant that is the Star Wars gaming community. The OG games to me were the pinnacle of the Star Wars game experience. I anticipate that launch is going to be an experience. We've already seen massive success of indi online games where sheer player numbers have melted their servers. People have wanted this since the first EA Battlefront. I hope they're ready for us. May the Force be with us all.

I still play the original BF2 occasionally, it's still installed. While EA's BF2 improved a lot and became a good game, the original still surpasses it. With Dark Forces and now these two, I hope they continue on and do the Jedi Knight games.

Brings back many great memories when me and my friends played BF2 on PS2. We played it so much that the audio and soundtrack started to glitch. Never forgetting Grevius screaming “ROGER OGER OGER OGER OGER” and we’re all dying laughing when it happened. So I’m definitely going to be playing this on my PS5

Now that anyone can make Star Wars games you could see Disney and Lucas games greenlighting another reboot by someone else if ea still refuses to make a 3rd game. Or if Disney/Lucas games doesn’t let them make a third as they absolutely failed with their attempt twice. Not saying this is likely. But I’d honestly rather someone else give it a go because ea had their shot and frankly don’t deserve another chance

What news to come home to after a workday! Its a literal dream come true seeing these games on the switch and modern consoles. And the best part is, its coming out not too long after my birthday! These games were my childhood bf2 in particular. Am so glad it has the xbox dlc and the multiplayer. As i never experienced those 2 things back in the day. And just as i hoped it even has the xl mode from pc. And not to mention all the new hero assault maps. Oh i am going to play the bantha poodoo outta this game. Am getting it on both my ps5 and switch for that sweet midnight bed gameplay lol.

It ran on the psp but my god it was horrendous to look at. The frame rate is just awful. I try and play every now and then at work but I can only play 10 mins or so at a time. @@Cyanide_and_Loneliness

@@missingno88 well I guess the reason why they didn't do anything to major with the graphics is because these games were already remastered. the 2015 and 2017 were the remasters of these OG battlefront games, but they weren't well received and dev support was cut off from them shortly after release. So using that information I can kinda understand why they'd go with the classic 4 pixel resolution.

Man, I really hope they nail this re-release. If I am able to play swbf2 online without the FoV crosshair bug, without the locked fps, and with improved netcode, i might never need another game. I do not miss leading my snipes on this games online.

I hope they fix it to where all Jedi are available. In the original Xbox 360 DLC of 2005 Battlefront 2, Ventress and Kit Fisto would replace Emperor Palpatine and Chewbacca, respectively. So with this re-release, hopefully all Jedi characters will be available at the same time.
