A longer con will only change acceleration and deceleration if the stroke length is also increased. as then the angular velocity will remain constant but linear velocity in the line of stroke will change....in the same way that a longer chain will only affect a gear ratio if one of the sprockets changes size. Just clarifying....👍

Sorry you are wrong pls do some research before committing . The piston speed changes if you change rod length at different points in the stroke , if you have a longer stroke the piston speed increases at all points in stroke . Does that make it clear now sorry if you didn't understand .

any one who is really interested in two stroke tuning , its well worth getting SM RACING SOFTWARE .they have a full package which includes , exhaust software , port timing , cylinder head volumes and profiles . conrod software and much more .

Steve loving your videos. As someone with absolutely no mechanical knowledge it's great to watch you do your thing. I was wondering if you had any more feedback on the Casa 185 kit you profiled a few videos back, as that's what I bought for my scooter re-build some time back and am finally hoping to get round to having a go with all this free time with the ongoing lockdown... I recall you stated the Casa piston included was not a great design as opposed to the one you show here. My question is can I buy this piston and fit it to the Casa cylinder and if so what modifications would be required. For reference I'm looking for torque (As I'm a fat bastard) over top end speed... thanks in advance and apologies if my question is utter boll@x ! 👍

If you want to use this kit with a good piston it will need alot of mods ..... ts185 piston from wiseco forged . 60 mm stroke crank with 116 mm rod and a 5 mm packing plate . easy ? fat boy motor avanti xbox exhaust or cst3 ? 28 mm carb pwk ..... vape ignition kit and its the bollocks ....... you will need head machining to suit suzuki piston .

@@TheSteelweasel Thanks for you feedback Steve. Just watched your latest video on Avanti exhaust. Will look into buying one of those... Anyway your suggestions sound a fair bit beyond my skillset unfortunately and I'm not sure who is up to the task in my area (Wales). Its a shame this lockdown is looking like its going to go on or else id have brought my engine out for you to do for me ( maybe when this ends, if you have the time) as we normally drive out for 6 weeks in July & again each Xmas. (Costa Blanca region). Anyway keep the videos coming, keep safe. Cheers Lee 👍
