Hi, just wanted to share my own affirmation that you make a difference and I wanted to thank you so much. I have a humble little nack for this guitar. I picked up an ear for it and improved my dexterity. So I wanted instructions. Lessons were embarrassing on his part. I didn't want to hurt his feelings but canceled and that didn't work. Subscribed to many KZbinrs that always felt spotty and incomplete. Amber, every lesson you put out i am able to play that song with minimal practice. You are also the first person I came across that puts it all together in the end. Which was frustrating me that these artists would teach chords, intro's , rifs verses, but never put it all together like you do. So Thanks!! I knew I could do this and thanks to you I was right!!

Hey, great tutorial I havee problems with singing and playing at the same time doe you have tips ? Greetings from Belgium 🇧🇪
@thestellarguitarist9 ай бұрын
Hi Lucas, oooohfff this is a very common thing that many guitarists struggle with. You are not alone! You need to work on getting your strumming arm on autopilot- which is step one. Then I’d suggest signing the song in your head, then humming it out loud. Then add words.. another thing you can do is play along with the original track to help keep you in time and to sing along with the singer. This gives you a sort of blueprint to follow if you feel your strumming and singing is beginning to go out of time. This singing/strumming issue is so specific to each individual. Maybe record yourself giving it a go and watch it back so you can truly see what needs attention. And lastly, working with a teacher for a 1:1 in person lesson (maybe just once or twice) could help. Good luck! 😃🎵🌟

The Cadd9 chord is more harder to play than the Maj C, if you look at the illustration: you can see that your using a 4th finger, it's slightly a different sound as well. The standard C Chord or Maj C is much better for beginners because you have to press that 4 finger down harder onto the string, if not correctly pressed it sounds bad or like the guitar has a blamed buzz when in fact it's not pressed correctly. The C Chord uses 3 fingers, if you press them evenly behind each fret it sounds more natural, even if you make a mistake, the C Maj is more forgiven than a C add 9, think about that? It's almost the same with a G Maj chord, many artist use the extra pinky on the E because it enhances the G Maj.
