I didn’t know the Sun as a tabloid in the US but this guy, Steven Edginton, is a top notch interviewer. When a notice comes up on utube for one of his interviews I always watch. He’s going places I hope-he deserves it.

Steven is an excellent interviewer - this series is pure gold. Andrew Doyle is such a bright, well-informed guy - actually able to think about these issues instead of spout doctrine and eloquently examine the philosophical/psychological influences behind the scenes. This is quality viewing like the BBC used to air, a time long ago.

Can we appreciate a good interviewer. My dad was a now retired journalist and he would say a good interview is 90% them talking and 10% your questions That can’t happen every time but you should try to make that happen. He also said, “they aren’t tuning in to hear you, they’re tuning in to hear your guest”. That really stuck with me.

@@jagman84 If the numbers of people were small like the Vietnamese boat people years ago, we could take our share of them and they could be absorbed into society without a problem. However, the numbers that have come and will continue to come its not feasible to take them. As the climate changes and we have droughts the future movements of people will make what happened in the last few years look trivial. We will end up with fortress Europe.

hooterville2 ...Look, I’ll help you out here..I’m fully aware that the word “Woke” is seen as grammatically incorrect to many & righty so, if used in the wrong context. I use it, as many do these days, to describe a movement or an idealism that are seen to be in touch with racial & social issues, or to be in touch with truth & reality, unseen by the mainstream. I’m not referring to being Awake in the literal sense. If I was, I’d say it...I hope I’ve offered some clarification, but if you still don’t get it, perhaps you’re just not very “Woke”..😀

I think that they realise people have since the bs of Brexit perhaps, woken up and are capable of spotting bs. They were known for often printing bs in the past and less so today perhaps? I can't be sure of that as I never read any newspapers but going only by their YT channel the Sun appear to be showing a good degree of common sense.

Thank you for putting forward exactly how I feel, as a white Christian male conservative pensioner I tick all of the boxes. I think this is the first time I have ever done that. I occurred to me one time when watching Mock the Week one time when there was this very obvious Woke aware ‘comedienne’ and I had a blinding flash of inspiration! Could we do a Mock the Woke presentation? Albeit I am not a recognised comedian, I have been known to have a keen wit, and have regularly written funny skits and short plays for occasions, and would be keen to develop something along those lines, along with people who know what they’re doing regarding broadcasting and modern technology.

Totally agree, I've watched a few of his interviews and although he's generally been interviewing people with whom he agrees (at least in the ones I've seen) he does a great job of allowing them to articulate their viewpoints. Hope to see more of him.

@@Warfoki I understand why they don't interview woke people because as you allude to in your comment it tends to end up in a screaming match without any introspection. All I was saying is that I'd be very interested to see that interviewer take on someone with opposing views as I actually think he'd handle it really well. Most of the viral interviews with say, Jordan Peterson, have interviewers who completely misrepresent his viewpoints and refuse to listen to anything he says, so it'd be interesting to see the woke person in the spotlight for a change.

I grew up in Canada and now reside in the US. I find the downward spiral of group think, wokeness and polical correctness in the US to be disturbing. I find this type of intelligent discussion to be quite refreshing instead of the cancel culture when any dissenting view can’t even be presented. Excellent job and well presented - thank you!
