I feel very sorry for this lad but he’s obviously been drunk or on drugs or both and gotten lost in a national park. People these days seem to lack personal responsibility and decision making skills. If I was going walking for ten hours in Tenerife I wouldn’t leave without any provisions. Again I’m aware he’s a young lad but people should be taught how to make good decisions over bad ones. I’m afraid there’s only one person to blame here.

We don't teach our kids to be sensible. Why the heck would you expect to walk 10 hours, over unfamiliar, rocky terrain without enough water in the summer heat? I hope he is found alive, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out the same as the good doctor in Greece..

@@Danfrank24 it’s the Michael Mosley situation again… on an island on his own, with barely any resources and ended up running out of battery on his phone. Ridiculous how this continues to happen on a regular basis, time and time again after having seen things like this happening only just recently. I’m sure the young lad will be aware of the news to do with going abroad, and more than likely heard the news about what happened in Greece… but still doesn’t take precautions for himself. Hope he’s well and safe, but this needs to be stamped down on.

The mountains in Tenerife are very isolated and the Temperatures can be ridiculously hot. I was out there exploring not to many years ago. Any more than 3 days out there with no food or water source you probably won’t come out alive. I wouldn’t recommend anyone go out into the mountains inexperienced and alone in the canaries. You are playing with your life and may not be found for many days or weeks if you fall into a riverine and people don’t know your out there. Beautiful place ‘stay safe’ 🙏✝️

I used to go clubbing in Tenerife as a young teen. This poor boy and mum. Sending prayers he will be found imminently and brought straight to hospital where they can hydrate him. 🙏 🥹

You've never been out there, have you? It's the same in the US, people go missing in their national parks to never be found again. They search for weeks and find nothing. Other than that they can't do anything.

The point im making is this poor guy that went missing 2023 , no one was bothered. He has never been found not even a body. All im glad about is they seem to be making a good effort this time

It sounds like he had already been drinking alcohol, the previous night. He was probably dehydrated before he set out (he had planned to catch a bus) .. so the hot sun would not help
