What I love about 40k is how everything was made to look cool. Nothing in 40k is optimal, practical, or tactical. Imagine building a spaceship with the majority of its sections being open spaces with high ceilings and over-the-top architecture that serve no purpose other than being cool to look at. A single hole can compromise an entire section of the ship to the vacuum of space, yet these space marines still rock with it and fight for the glory of The Emperor.

Failing Gellar fields from damage or truly ancient ships can sometimes only partially cover a ship, have a weaker effect, not stop determined Deamons (Even strong normal ones might not be able to stop a strong Deamon).

The first bit of the Wikipedia article for the Gyrojet: "The Gyrojet is a family of unique firearms developed in the 1960s named for the method of gyroscopically stabilizing its projectiles. Rather than inert bullets, Gyrojets fire small rockets..." I'm pretty sure "Gyrojet" is just a product name but even if it isn't it's not, not a rocket.

Yes, but bolters don't work like real world gyrojets. They are cased and have a kicker charge - the rocket part doesn't do much other than maintain velocity and provide spin stabilization since they're already coming out of the barrel at a hell of a speed. It's more of a hybrid of conventional and gyrojet munitions.

@@HeckingLoser idk if they changed lore recently butif they didn't then the rocketmotor on a bolt round absolutely does increase the rounds velocity i mean heck some of the books describe that the warhead of a bolter round gains speed after leaving the barrel. The charge in the casing is literally just to throw the shell out far enough so the rocket engine doesn't damage the gun (similar to the rpg-7 wich does the exact same thing).

Easiest way is to get your veteran to level 30 and designate all shooters as targets. Hordes and hordes of shooters spawn, and each kill refreshes the duration, so you can just pick at their heads and get it.

@@Bruhstin3099 So there's a newer map called Consignment Yard, which has this MASSIVE open area with a few train cars and a big skybox. It's the one where you have to shut down the skyfire, then defend the place for a while, then at the end of the mission, reinforcement valkyries arrive as you take off. That map is so large that you can stand on the top of one of the railcars, look for a horde approaching from very far away, and huck a grenade towards them. Be sure to hold down the button for the throwing arc, and watch for the point where the arc ends. Be sure it ends midair, so you know the grenade will airburst. This is where both me and my friend got it.

while I agree with J here that I would reccomend the game because of it's gameplay... I sadly have to put on the same warning that I would for ANOTHER previous 40k game; Eternal Crusade. pretext, I have over 200 hours in the game, from the beta, to the early access, to after launch. I have nearly every acheivement, i even bought the imperial edition because of what i saw from the early access prior to launch. I have hundreds of hours in vermintide 1 and 2 as well and lord knows how much money into VT2... they had me by the BALLS in terms of loyalty... so take what I say with not so much salt. this game isn't finished no not in the "oh there's dlc in the future", no they literally have atleast a quarter of the game promised on launched unfinished, and KNOWING fatshark (and tencent owning them and them working ona 40K GAME)... a lot of that missing content will probably be dlc now. a lot of the penances are not just hard, but downwrite toxic, they force you to grief the rest of your team and it was so bad in the BETA that many had to be nerfed in their "challenge", having said that some still exist and are just not friendly for a game like darktide, but actively punishing. also like j's video shows, SOME of the 4 classes (COUGH COUGH veteran COUGH), have the easiest compared to someone like psyker...poor poor psyker but they had the cash shop working day one. a cash shop as predatory as a free to play mobile game. a cash shop, while one of the classes in the game was badly broken and unplayable on launch. a cash shop that ORIGINALLY you could earn the ingame currency for, before they tianmen squared that little sentence on launch day. not to mention the level of bugs and preformance issues still in this game, and the actual lack of content compared to vermintide 2 launch. and I can't forget that this is fatshark we're talking about, a company INFAMOUS for how slow they are with updates. I LOVE the 'tide series, I loved what they did with vermintide 2, all they had to do was copy past that over this game, all the careers as "classes", all the personality, all the maps, the stories, the tomes and grims...everything and they chose to let out a weaker product than their previous... why? because it's 40k... no really look at every single 40k game out right now and notice how it's always "lacking" something... juuuust enough to make you interested to go to GW and see what they're about and buy they're plastic this isn't even a conspiracy multiple devs from said games have leaked that it's why they come out "meh" at best! why is Old World exempt from this? because GW killed it, and didn't make the models anymore so they couldn't market off of it. pardon me, but I suppose I can wrap this up with a damning review that many said the same way about vermintide 2 (and that was a "better" trash of a launch than this game has) "wait a year when it's actually finished, then buy it on sale."

Also, you could probably use a mod like Elden Ring's Anti-Cheat Toggler, that makes the game offline play only, because the anti cheat is required to play online/matchmake, but this game requires a network connection to play in the first place and has no offline option to begin with.
