I was admittedly a chiv hater due to mordhau when it came out, but when i actually started playing it i got entirely invested and i honestly think its just better now. As cool as the directional attacking was in mordhau it lead to some janky animations and i like the stamina system over the timed block.

Finally, a medieval combat game where a 2-hand weapon actually makes sense. Yeah, I'm talking about you, Bannerlord, a two-handed sword isn't two inches longer than a one-handed, you silly billies. I wanna be able to decapitate the enemy from outside their range, not hit slightly harder at the same range as before.

The helicoptering vanguards/knights are somewhat as silly as it was in chiv 1, being able to cleave through 5+ people is something bannerlord doesn't want, as it tries to present itself as a more grounded game.

@Cannon Fighter Yeh, I remember. The mordhau devs said they didnt have that but there were still some elements of that garbage in there although nowhere near as bad. When are we going to see a system where the damage scales based on where in the swing the strike is? It should be easy enough to do with anim notifies, so who in the design dept is responsible for that? Swings basically do no damage at the end of the swing, as well as at the start. M&B does a good job of representing this, but sort of falls short in every other category of melee combat.

I found out that if you lose an arm, you can still get downed. If you are then revived, the death timer disappears. This allows you to go bonkers and go on a killing streak, as the enemy doesn’t put much effort and expects you to die.

Gladly we can glean much informatuion about his lifestyle and history from this stunning documentary, such as: - He regrew multiple limbs in his life, from arms to heads. It is said that during many battles if he was dismembered, he would simply continue fighting, using any part of his body that remained to strike down his foes. - He was proficient with a multitude of weapons, though he favored the heavier ones. Typically using large axes, shovels, or warhammers, he was a brutal warrior that had such immense will and skill that he took on tens of thousands of enemies at a time. Sometimes these weapons ranged to be fairly unorthodox however; as it is shown in the documentary, he once chucked a peasant straight into an enemy soldier, killing him! Another (which is rather a tactic than a weapon) would be the use of his donating of gold to distract his foes. Specifically, one soldier of notable reputation was sent an envelope via bird, holding a few coins. With this distraction in place, Sir Jayeffjay ran him down with the greatest of mights. - Though he may have been a great and honored man, his moral compass vastly flew from positive to negative. He could be swinging through hordes of his teammates not caring if they'd been injured one minute, and saving a fallen brethren the next. It is even stated that he was seen consuming an enemy soldier whole! - He was possibly a misogynist. This could have understanbdale reasons however; in the documentary, it is possible that you may have heard fear in Sir Jayeffjay's voice as he ran towards women of the enemy army. This could hint to his fear of women, and explain why he had no children. With the last of those facts, we conclude the fun facts. Thank you for coming to the documentary!
