Yep, that DK Summit remix was absolutely incredible! That track and Singapore Speedway were the highlights for me, but all the tracks were great. Super hyped to see what the final two waves look like, especially with likely *five* more new characters! I still wish they’d go back and polish up Wave 1 to match the higher quality of the later waves, but I don’t see that happening at this point…

My personal favorite wave thus far. And it has some of my favorite tracks in the game thus far. I'll gush over Yoshi's Island for years to come, and Singapore Speedway is just beautiful. Waluigi Stadium has so much attention to detail, and makes it stand out more than its original version, and I can't get enough of the crowd getting excited when hitting a ramp (off topic, where's Wario Colosseum?). Can't wait for the future waves whenever they come out. Nearly forgot, can't wait for the new characters

That’s what you hear in Wario Stadium too. I always love how the crowd is cheering for you every time you pull off crazy stunts, like when you’re in Monster Jam or other extreme sports competitions. The only gripe some people had, which would be me too, was that each time you collide with a projectile like a banana, the crowd does not moan.

My first playthrough of these tracks I did with another person frantic items and 200cc so that was something to adapt to 😅 love this wave though and once I get used to the tracks I’m going all in

Personally I thought Singapore Speedway is the best Tour track in the game, the diffrent checkpoints help it feel so much more adventurous and the pathways and locations are stunning. The music while better in Tour is still top 5 Mario Kart music tracks of all time for me Also no way is T black he sounds like a lot of white people I know but then again we live in an age where stereotypes are mattering less and less. I appreciate you breaking them

@@Mr_bukowski4435 NAH ITS ALL GOOD 😂😂😂 Whenever I ask abt sounding black, from me it’s not that serious cuz I live around a pretty white family & neighborhood so I can’t argue against my cadence & speech, but it’s always funny whenever someone learns of my race & they’re like “but you don’t sound black” 😂

The fact that you can land in a soccer field in Singapore Speedway is great too and you can play around it. I hope Vancouver Velocity has a section where you can play in a ice hockey rink. Also, why would you ask if SuperMario T is black? We don’t talk about that much.

agree the city tracks were all great but imo it goes Bangkok - 7.5, Amsterdam 8.0, Singapore 9.3 - singapore is S tier easy but Bangkok is enjoyable but def nothin higher than top B tier imo imo whereas amserdam is unique for most of each lap - sinapores split levels are kinda gimmicky

Waluigi Stadium looks so good here! It’s like.. almost like a very .. let’s put it this way, a combination of a dirt-bike track colliding with a construction site because you have mechanical backhoes and stuff, and there’s water added in the ground to give off the shiny reflection which I love and actually is what you see in the actual stadium. Now, the music, the music kinda goes a little far off, (not that much) because it lacks the introduction once it loops back to its state which makes it a little different to me honestly, I’m not really sure, the focus on the instrumental composition is recorded by a live band now, which is way different than Double Dash. On top of that, I love Waluigi Stadium, just like I love Wario Stadium (DS) Wario Stadium (N64) and Waluigi Pinball, the textures were amazing, the graphics were great, the atmosphere was gorgeous, the lighting in Waluigi Stadium was amazing as well. It’s almost like you’re at a rock concert or something. It’s great. And by the way, I love these reviews that SuperMarioT enters in.

Also for Yoshi’s Island, I gotta say that Nintendo put a lot of effort in that track because they brought in various references from the game like Goonies, Poochy, the goal ring you see at the end of each level, the remixes of the level start jingle for when you begin a level in the game, the Goal & Score themes whenever you finish a level, the Shy Guys on stilts, (which I thought I find funny because I thought that their stilts look like crutches)

I'd say the big extra for this wave is the addition of the first new character and with it the reveal of how many more of them we're getting thanks to the updated CSS, although the balance tweaks are also worth mentioning (and I'm glad you did). Anyway, I'd say this wave was the best one so far (although 3 might still be my favorite because of certain tracks in it, too) exactly because its highs are really high (Yoshi's Island in particular) while its lows are barely so (considering Mario Circuit and/or Riverside Park are considered by many the lowest point and are still overall good tracks)! As for future characters, my picks would be Kamek, Pauline, Petey, at least one Kong (Diddy if only one) and any between another Kong, King Bob-omb, Nabbit or even a regular enemy (Chargin' Chuck preferably)! Kamek I'd really like to see also because of his history with the Mario Kart series as he got cut from 64 and, ironically, from 8. Petey Piranha would make sense because he was King Boo's partner in Double Dash (who funnily enough wasn't in base 8, they added him in Deluxe), plus if the theory about new characters being related to tracks in the wave is right he's quite likely to go along with Piranha Plant Cove.
