As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualified purchases.
These are my 5 top takeaways from the timeless bestseller How to Win Friends and Influence People. This book was written by Dale Carnegie, over 80 years ago, but the concepts are just as valuable in the 21 century as they were back then.
Top 5 Takeaways from Thinking Fast and Slow: bit.ly/2HS7SRC
Top 5 takeaways from How to Win Friends and Influence People:
0:00 Intro
01:05 1. Arouse in the Other Person an Eager Want
03:37 2. Give the Other Person a Fine Reputation to Live Up To
05:42 3. The Only Way to Get the Best of an Argument is To Avoid it
08:16 4. Dramatize Your Ideas
09:32 5. 3 Ways to Make People Like You
TL;DW:
- There’s only one way to make anyone do anything, and that is by making them want to do it
- Act as if the person is already in possession of the characteristic that you want to improve
- Avoid arguments - it will just cement the current beliefs of the other person
- Show your ideas in a vivid, interesting and dramatic way
- Make a great first impression by showing genuine interest, smiling and remembering a person’s name
My goal with this channel is to help you make more money and improve your personal finances. How to become a millionaire? There are many ways to get there - investing in the stock market, becoming a stock trader, doing real estate investing, or why not becoming an entrepreneur? But whether you are interested in how to invest in stocks or investing strategies for creating passive income with rental properties - I hope to be able to provide you with a solution (or at least an idea) here. Warren Buffett - the greatest investor of our time - says that you should fill your mind with competing ideas and then see what makes sense to you. This channel is about filling your mind with those ideas. And in the process - upgrading your money-making toolbox.

🤔, its only been a week since I came across your channel and started watching but I must say its always I am enjoying it, I am watching everyday. I have only just 3 months now started investing in stocks and read a couple of book, 4 to be exact( all 4 are about stock investing) and I have always had a problem of being able to draw a good summary from what I have read but I must say you are very good at it and in watching your videos I learn alot and more about myself as I go through all your book summaries.

i understood exact summary. but for me making friend is not natural way. real friendship is come naturally. just be yourself. if you are always trying to be good person , will be tired. we are all human. so somebody hate me is natural. impossible to loved by everyone. if its become true. maybe you can not love yourself. i think self care and personal space is important. anyway thank you for summary and perspective. 👍

Summed Up : Be genuinely interested in other people. Don’t criticize, condemn or complain about people. Encourage others to talk about themselves. If you make a mistake, acknowledge it quickly. Before criticizing someone else, talk about your own mistakes first. Praise all improvements, no matter how slight. If you want to change others, start with yourself first. To feel important is one of the strongest human desires. Always make others feel important and never undermine anyone’s sense of importance. Remember people’s names. A person’s name is the sweetest and most important sound in any language. Express your ideas in a dramatic way. Use illustrations and showmanship to get your ideas across.
