@Mercury Hill it will probably make mounds of dirt and still web up on the side of the enclosure...just might not be as intricate. But it depends on the species. Chilobrachys seems to webb up no matter what is in there.

Greetings from Germany. There is a weird translation of the title here, which would literally mean "The top 10 of the heaviest (-in the sense of mass-) belt tarantulas" :D I think it looks cool when Ts web all over a skull. I recently bought a Mexican Fire Leg T, and I absolutely love it! all though, sense it's a sling, the little guy is taking so damn long to grow. I decided to add 4 more T's to my collection.ink Leg Salmon Bird Eater, Green Bottle Blue, King Baboon, and a Pumpkin Patch Tarantula. So excited to say the least. I know that I should of kept away from the New Wolds, but...…. I couldn't help myself. Especially the King Baboon. I heard they have a nasty attitude and also have medically significant venom. I will just have to be extra careful! I know that this has nothing to do with the video, but I thought I would make mention. Great video!

First of all I'd like to thank you for putting out these videos. I am a novice keeper who has now had T's for about six months and this information is absolutely invaluable. I would like to see a video on your picks for intermediate species; what species you believe are good for keepers who have a little experience under their belt and have kept a lot of the beginner level species successfully. A bit more challenging, maybe beginner moisture dependent, a bit faster. Thank you and thank you for all the videos you have done so far :)

Hey Richard and the tarantula community, I am looking at getting my first T. I have been hoping to get a G. pulchripes. Quick question, most of the enclosures I can find locally have mesh tops, I've heard these can be dangerous if the T gets their claws stuck. I know the pulchripes aren't supposed to be big climbers, but wanted to get the community's opinion on mesh top cages, and how critical it is to avoid these. Love your videos! Thanks!

I recently got a Brachypelma hamorii and it hasn’t done any webbing. I’m just wondering if they make webs. Thanks 🕸🕷😊

Lol....I dont think they even watch the video. I get one or two thumbs down as soon as notifications go out way before anyone would have a chance to make it half way through the video...lol

Hi Richard, loved the vid. I have a GBB and C. Versicolor myself, both slings but I love them. Quick note: Lesotho is actually pronounced Lesutu. I'm South African so hearing how you pronounced it threw me off😂 no offence to you though, you couldn't have known. Keep up the good work!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. And thanks for the correct pronunciation...I appreciate that. I probably butcher more words than I get right...so I am always happy when people tell me the correct pronunciation of words in unfamiliar with.
