What a wonderful baseline. Like any structure that needs a foundation, so do we need a starting point … more than that, we need the surety of the concrete foundation upon which to stand as we then proceed to move toward not just “a goal” or just “any goal,” but rather “the goal” that has “true meaning.” Thank you for this conversation you’ve recorded for not just a single listening, but rather, the multiple listenings necessary for the thoughts to sink into their proper place in the foundation.

How would I go about educating myself in Thomistic Or scholastic philosophy? I find in trying to engage with texts, especially with regards to metaphysics or some of the other more abstruse topics, that I run into a problem of terminology. Be they in Aristotle’s, or the Neoplatonist’s, or Aquinas’s writing. Is there a recommended cannon, graded so as to provide a fundament and baseline, from which I could establish my knowledge and then move onward to more complex topics? This would be much appreciated. I’m tired of being a fool, lol. Also if there are any university or masters programs in the United States, this would be helpful as well. Thank you.

The Truth is what is and ultimately what makes what a thing is as it is. As these One in God, God knows it and wills it to be so as with all things in the Oneness of the Divine Act. From God comes that what is, is as it is, and that includes that each thing is what it is and how it is. Basically, it depends on if you want to know about a given thing or just Truth in Itself, then depends on how far one can see. There is always more to the Truth though, it is a transcendant and God is the Truth.

The truth is anything that can be proven with facts and evidence here on Earth. The only one that speaks the truth because His Divine and has no Evil in Him, is God and the Holy Trinity. Everyone else has to prove their actions with evidence.

It’s a instant gratification society ( Reputation) in 🇺🇸 good or bad no one has time for GOD n the virtues it takes even if we do have time there are better option then knowledge as society gets more ignorant in a negative way . Truth is necessarily possible. To say that it is impossible is self-refuting, as to say that would require to tell us a truth that truth is impossible. Can we trust reason? We can't question reason itself because reason makes questioning possible. The very question is using reason. Outside of reason there are no concepts, judgments, or arguments. So either reason works, or we must simply be silent, as it would be self-refuting to use reason to disprove reason, as the argument to disprove reason shouldn't be accurate either if reason is untrustworthy.

23:26 Uh, what? Paul doesn't name the alleged 500 witnesses. He just mentions that post-Resurrection Jesus "appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time". Doesn't name a single one of those, and doesn't even say where. Good luck going to Palestine and asking random people if they were among the 500 to whom Jesus appeared.
