2:00 if you are using plop the growables, it prevents buildings from getting destroyed because of zone change and grid change

I definitely think a local tram network would be a great fit for Auburn, especially linking the train station and other major tourist attractions and things like that. Would be really neat to see! Perhaps breaking up some of the rows of rowhouses would help achieve that transition look

If you are looking at ideas for building a highway through Auburn, I recommend looking at Hartford Connecticut.

Mixed use has been proven to be “superior” (for lack of a better word) urban planning than separating zones is thus used every else outside North America as well. In fact, many cities in North America are also redesigning their zoning codes and cities to make more mixed use urban places. This is why we see it work so much better in city planning video games.

Mixed use is honestly smart and should’ve the majority of zones for but cities

And after months of hiatus, I am back. The BABE surely needs a fellow system to rival it. We need streetcars, tons of it. How about the introduction of the Auburn Streetcar System? A very dense system in Auburn that's the perfect complimentary service to the BABE

Can you zone bigger plot for high density office like 10×10 or 12×12.. maybe we can have iconics, bigger and taller skyscrapers than just stop with 6×6 max

You should build a outer beltway/ outer ring road. I know I suggested before but we kinda need it if you want to expand the outer suburbs of the city.

5:00 one thing I really like with mods is making a tunnel, them creating parking spaces with that invisible path underground, connected to the tunnel. I saw somebody in the PDX forum post this idea. It's custom parking, small entrance, and the size inside the earth can be as large or as small as you think it's appropriate.

Auburn most likely wouldn't need its own airport. in most cases, when two major cities are near each other, they'll share one large airport, like Dallas and Fort Worth, Minneapolis and St. Paul, Washington DC, and Baltimore, etc.

The main problem I see is the skyscrapers in front of the ferris wheel blocking the view of it. I imagine it as a major special feature of the coast and people further in Auburn would have a problem seeing it.

You'll get more high density residential demand if you build the education systems you need. Low skilled, uneducated workers generally wont live in residential skyscrapers. They can't afford it.

I'm at work watching on my phone.... So I can't see too good to tell if u placed the office core next to a subway station. As a New Yorker I appreciate the importance of subway access (without placing stations too close together on the same line). Come on console ...can't wait to sink my time into this game!

But you can see by looking at Chirper that anarchy turns off whenever he's zoning, so it can't be that, right? I think it must be the Plop the Growables mod that lets you place buildings without appropriate zoning underneath them. That's why when he changes/removes zoning under a building it doesn't start despawning. At least that's what I think the reason is.

The area between the rail yard and the stadium, to the open area from the intersection with problems should be an airport. Building an airport with a good road system will help with traffic. Could be a cargo only airport similar to Rickenbacher in Columbus OH

In what world is this game "optimised for a European style city" ? xD it heavily incentivises you to build road grids, by having that be the most optimal way to use the space of all the square-plotted buildings, "zones" exist at all, as opposed to local plans, most of the European themed architecture doesn't look particularly "European", but could pass a being from a lot of places (it seems they were going for post-war Germany or some shit), whereas the american buildings look very distinctly North American, One of the only ways, which you do rightly mention, that it could be argued that it is a bit more "European" might indeed be with the general idea of having mixed _uses_ all close to each other being rewarded from a game play perspective, but really, it's just not _as_ zone segregated as a lot of North America is specifically. *And even then* Many big cities in North America are quite mixed in their actual zoning regardless. TL;DR, I must respectfully disagree with this general assessment, not because I don't agree with what you meant by it, but because I don't know if you know what what you actually said means (this is mostly meant as a bit of tongue and cheek "frustration")
